Kintsugi and Fingertips are instant top tens for me and I haven't even listened to them. I just know both will take me months, maybe even years to fully absorb 

remember she mentioned in december that fingertips is so complex it could've taken over a year to organize  really curious about that song

like i get what she was going for with it in regards to making a movie for cry baby and her adventures at school and combining the music to go with that but….. she took on A LOT at once writing and directing the film (which was a new domain for her as it’s entirely different from a music video with a slight storyline ) on top of writing herself into a corner with the music because it had to be about school and have a visual to go along with it

I usually have two lists in my mind:
 
1. Based on critical acclaim, fan consensus, what her best tracks are
2. My own individual favorites, built by personal connections to certain songs
 
The second one is obviously more important to me, but sometimes they intersect and sometimes they diverge drastically

exactly, like, I LOVE that she wants to do more than just release music and expand her artistry, but it's limitating if it's going to take 4/5 years every album release just because of a movie. I would love if she just released music videos with story telling, the budget she got for K-12 would give us way better visuals if she used it for separated music videos

For sure. Just want to clarify to everyone in this thread that I'm not insinuating any of your love for the track is inauthentic. Just thinking hypothetically about the possibility of a much more mellow reaction to the track if it was, say, 5 minutes long and more like Cinnamon Girl than the song as it is now. I love the track, it's super unique and well crafted, I just find the American Whore section to be the heart and soul of the song.

I agree, all those songs are masterpieces too. But I really don't think people's love for A&W is inauthentic or just because they like to bop to the ending. Like maybe the length and the second half are what gets people talking, but then they're captivated by the whole thing and recognize it for how strong it is. If anything, it may convince some of those people to dive deeper into Lana's work and discover songs like White Dress, Chemtrails, etc. I think this album in general is going to open a lot of people's eyes to Lana and she's going to be respected on a larger scale.

If she’s teasing a snippet per day (starting from Feb. 17th to Mar. 2nd, 13 tracks) the album could be released on March 3rd or 10th.
It does make sense, she has a show at Lollapalooza Argentina on March 17th.

honestly anything is a better album title than K-12
