Lana Del Rey has just released a surprise homemade music video for 'hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it' on her UHaulJoe YouTube channel!
 
 

I re-created the original concept of the Ultraviolence video. As most of us know, the footage for the "Freak" music video was just re-used from what Lana shoot for the title track of her second album.  The way it was cut made it seem like they didn't even really try anything else besides just putting the new Honeymoon track over it, as it didn't take too much effort to sync Ultraviolence with the footage. I really wanted to do this, because the two or three fan made cuts that are on Youtube are not really going well with the beat of the music, and I preferred this arrangement of the footage. Hope you guys like it, let me know what you think.
 
 

Alright! I'm just going to say it due to some recent discussion I'm seeing. Please, please do not shame someone's body on LanaBoards. I'm just not going to tolerate it. Not only for Lana's sake, but for the other body-conscious people who may be reading.
To get a bit personal here, even I gained weight during this pandemic, and I flipped my shit about it! Started crash course dieting and exercising like a psycho once I realised I put on a few more pounds than normal and THAT was unhealthy. It was also around the same time people were saying some not-so-nice things about Lana's weight on social media and even on here, and yeah that definitely had an impact on me and I'm sure others as well. So be mindful of the message you're promoting and who you may be affecting. Though Lana may not be one of the ones who ever sees the message, remember that she's human just like the rest of us. No one is going to look like a supermodel 24/7. As long as she's happy with her appearance, and she should be because she always looks amazing at any weight, that is all that is important, and it shouldn't be up for discussion.
LanaBoards welcomes difference of opinions, but I think comments on someone's weight just shouldn't be up for public opinion, period.

Hi, this is my first time starting a topic (took me a good while to figure out how to share photos on here, haha), but I just wanted to share something I made recently: I got a myself a custom lyrics book printed for Ultraviolence as it has always bothered me that the official one doesn't include the full lyrics. I designed it using Photoshop and I know it's nothing fancy but I really enjoyed putting it all together and I'm pleased with how it has come out. (Want to add a quick thanks to everyone in the Resources thread for researching and sharing all the official fonts they could find. That thread was seriously so helpful! Oh, and the Lyrics thread, obviously very useful as well.)

I'm currently working on a second book for Honeymoon, using a lot more of my own photos this time. I've nearly finished it, just need to work a few more things out but I'll update this post when I'm done and it arrives.

Anyway, feel free to critique/tell me ways I can improve on any elements for next time, I know some of the black and white photos didn't print so well so I'm trying to avoid using those in the future. Really pleased I finally found a company that prints images on the spine though, so the spine matches the front cover.
