  1. I doubt this is what Lana intended, but I really like the theory! I didn't like the blandness/starkness/cliche of the line, so I think I'm going to think of it this way when I listen

  5. RETWEET anyone can mention this song ever and i cry because it's so good i'm literally @annedauphine except it's just the lizzy era that i fall out over
  6. @, yours are always so good! So happy to see some artists like Siouxsie and the Banshees and Fleetwood Mac Here's Round 2 (I think) for me: 1. Fascination - David Bowie 2. Make Up to Break Up - Siouxsie and the Banshees 3. Super Trouper - ABBA 4. Electric Lady - Janelle Monae feat. Solange 5. I'm Gonna Make You Love Me - Diana Ross & the Supremes feat. The Temptations 6. Call Me - Kali Uchis 7. This is the Day - The The 8. Turn Turn Turn - Mary Hopkin 9. Born to Die - LDR 10. Memory of a Free Festival (Part 2) - David Bowie
  7. That's what I was tempted to do, but I've also always got a nagging voice telling me to keep tracklists the way she has them, so-- I went ahead and merged Columbine with Covers. Can you post a screenshot of your Nicole library? I count on your libraries to be good guidelines
  8. So, now that I've got Nicole's discography (thanks, @!), I have an organization question (one of many, I'm sure): What do y'all do with the Columbine EP? Do you keep it intact, or merge it with the Covers album, like she did? I'm curious to see.
  9. I love doing these! From my Spotify (since I really only have unreleased discographies, live albums, and CDs I own on iTunes): 1. Oh! You Pretty Things - David Bowie 2. This is What Makes Us Girls - LDR 3. Help! - The Beatles 4. Yama Yama - Yamasuki Singers 5. Help - Erica Campbell (feat. Lecrae) 6. Moments of Pleasure - Kate Bush 7. The World Should Revolve Around Me - Little Jackie 8. Beauty and the Beast (Live, 1978) - David Bowie 9. She Works Hard for the Money - Donna Summer 10. Me and Bobby McGee - Janis Joplin Love this playlist <3
  10. Can someone please PM me a masterpost of Nicole's work? I'm slowly getting into her work-- I found her in about 2013 through last.fm (I think I heard Dog Teeth and Observatory Mansions) but I HATED her work at the time-- it was too dark/creepy for me then, and I couldn't really stomach it. Now, however, I'm really enjoying what I've heard (a few tracks off NBL, really-- Poacher's Pride, You're So Cool, and In the Land are ones I'm very familiar with), and I want to get into her music! Thanks, y'all I'm also a huge fan of the Flowers in the Attic books, so I love the ties to that series and the VC Andrews-ish quality to her work <3
  11. Eclipse himself confirmed that it was! He said it was a lower-quality (128kbps) file of YGLM, that cut off at the end.
  12. "Josh neww" is a real *title*, if that's what you're asking! @Eclipse confirmed that it was another title associated with YGLM. Also, as someone else said, @Eclipse confirmed that v2 of DICWB is from 2011, while v1 is 2010. (and, btw, "fuck that shit" was a confirmed fake! Not Lana, unfortunately, although the resemblance was uncanny.)
  13. Someone should bring this back! This would be fun to do again Actually, I might set it up tomorrow
  14. Sorry to revive a *very* old thread, but I was wondering if anyone had any more information about this sampler-- this is the only mention I've ever seen of it. I'm thinking about putting in my iTunes because it's a very nice tracklist IMO, but I wanted to make sure it's real and also know what to title it. I'm also curious to see how some of these tracks are titled-- "Paris" vs. "Take Me to Paris", for example-- or "Puppy Love" vs. "Marilyn Monroe", "Kinda Outta Luck" vs. "Kinda Out of Luck", etc. also, not gonna lie, I really admire the research/discovery and collaboration that went on here way back when! it would be nice to see a return to such collaborative information finding and knowledge-building now
  15. I still really need someone to direct me to a good Kali masterpost or send me Drunken Babble + her unreleased, please! I'm desperate to listen to more than just Por Vida
  16. Consider me summoned Don't even get me started on what kind of meltdown I'd have if this album had any AKA vibes, y'all I think LOVE is incredible and I'll be so happy if the album sounds like it but y'all know I'd straight-up die if she went surf noir again
  17. Gave the queen some promo at the pizza place I ate at today (excuse my messy handwriting; i was trying to give the good sis a mention before my brother left me behind ) Also, just realized: "I catch a dollar in the wind and I buy a cup of coffee There’s a place on Valentine that still charge ninety cents" "To go nowhere in particular Back to work or the coffee shop" Queen of coming full circle-- "Fordham Road" was recorded in 2005, when Lana herself was a kid "going nowhere in particular", wandering aimlessly to the coffee shop on Valentine-- and now, twelve years later in 2017, she's looking back on those days, and smiling for all the kids who are living it themselves. I love her so much <3
  18. 'Stargirl' was the herald for a new space era :defeated: Now, just hoping and praying the album sounds like that
  19. Yes!!!! Love the video, too. For TSW being one of Kate's albums I listen to the least, I really love a few of the songs from it-- esp. Love and Anger, the title track, and The Fog (and This Woman's Work, of course)
  20. i'm dead and in the ground what if it actually sounded like any of these??? get out of my head y'all
