    lol love you
i know what you mean i was trying to do a lowkey vibe for what i was feeling so far from lana's posts and i took the other posts from there but the swans fit more because she was there but i didn't want her in it AND i was looking at vinyl and saw this and thought of you cause i'd like pink if it wasnt solid maybe and you're right it will match with the B/W scheme

There's this interview where she spoke about those five Rick Nowels tracks that leaked, where she said some were intended for the album

I'm convinced she was talking about Hollywood, AFFA, and of course Black Beauty. #TransAm

One of the mixers/engineers literally said Honeymoon demos sound like the 80s lmao, what do y’all mean there’s no demos for that album.

the whole “i don’t think ___ has demos/outtakes” needs to DIE

there is almost NO way they made and finished an entire song within one session and called it the final version afterwards except it’s something like some things last a long time or smth

wasn’t hbtb one of the last tracks to get recorded? that literally confirms there’s at least one swan song version without the hbtb sample then

I feel like Honeymoon outtakes are more mysterious, considering we don't know if any exist

Piano Theme and Morricone were registered alongside Old Money in early 2013 and were originally taken as The Great Gatsby outtakes.. Old Money ended up on UV but it was thought to be intended for The Great Gatsby (possibly in terms of Daisy?) but there’s no evidence of that other than the time period of its registration. It could’ve also been registered so early due to the Romeo and Juliet sample. There’s also speculation Piano Theme is a “interlude” for the Paradise tour and Morricone is a rendition of an Ennio Morricone score for the tour also but again. there’s no proof. As for I Talk To Jesus, no one has that and that’s a fact. The title had been registered since 2014 yet we didn’t even find it until 2017, it could be a cover of Bob Dylan (iirc) which is most likely since covers are registered under Lana’s name on PPL which is where it was found (Check”You Must Love Me”) and the title hasn’t been found elsewhere. And finally, Trans Am was simply written in Lana’s notebook during a studio session with a heart around it. She could’ve been just messing around and stating her love for the car type and I highly doubt it’s anything else.

So we know of atleast a few songs from the UV era that remain unleaked, but what do we know about them? Justice for these songs!

Piano Theme    [Now thought to be a Paradise tour interlude]
Morricone          [Now thought to be a Paradise tour interlude]
    I Talk To Jesus

Honestly why have I been LYING to myself saying that UV is my favourite album??? UV will remain a classic and her second best album, but BTD really is that record - everything about it is perfect. Every single song, the photoshoot, the live performances (which I'll admit, took me some time to love), the music videos, the production, the song choices and tracklist UGH ALBUM OF THE DECADE/CENTURY/MILLENNIUM/MEGAANNUM/INFINITY-UM... The POWER this record has....

    :defeated:

i feel like all of us here are pulling out those "where were you" moments people usually bring up when discussing some historical event -- which, in all fairness, this absolutely is

i was 11 at the time, turning 12 a month later -- I didn't hardcore stan yet, but I was definitely aware of LDR at the time, because I remember hearing OTTR, being absolutely in awe, and coming up nearly empty-handed when trying to find more music by her (although, I feel like there was already some unreleased floating around by that point -- I'm almost sure I heard Kill Kill then, and Lizzy Grant stan I am, fell in love with it).

anyway, it always blows my mind when people say BTD has aged poorly, because I think it's one of those truly timeless albums. it holds up now even better than it did then, because she was so ahead of the game, and it remains her best work, imo

    happy birthday, baby
