Israel's genocide of Palestinians and war on the Middle East
Wayamaya replied to Ultra Violet's topic in World News
I personally believe that reading is the best form of educating yourself on certain topics, I've been reading a few Palestinian books that have been insightful. However, It's so hard to talk about these issues when you can literally lose jobs for doing the right thing. The fact Susan Sarandon lost her agency and Melissa Barrera lost a role on Scream VII makes me not blame some people for feeling silenced about this. My best friend's sister lost her job for speaking up on it. I personally don't speak out about it much due to the fact that there is d0xx1ng on the pro-israel side (look up Canary Mission), but I have these conversations with my family and friends all the time to try and educate them. Half of my family is from Jordan, so it hits close to home to me that this is happening when you know the full history of the Middle East. That doesn't mean we know exactly what every single artist's views on this. Marina for example I remember posted pro-israel stuff at first, I think with enough education and resources she's posted a lot about the genocide in Gaza. I think getting mad at these celebrities who might be just ignorant is a stretch, like I would rather be mad at Selma Blair, Timothee Chalamet, or Jamie Lee Curtis for their opinions than Lana. I think it defeats the purpose of a lot of things for chastising celebrities over silly stuff like a McDonalds coke. -

Glad I wasn't just making it up LOL. I love the one we got, but I think hearing Nicole scream would be very interesting. She's one of the few artists to make her bodies of work flow so well within each other

I'm almost positive she said it on her instagram comments once iirc? I should've screenshotted when I saw it
-
She said that the original version of NFTHOO had screaming in it from somewhere, we need to hear it.

Sky's amazing live and anyone who complains about her being late is saying that bc she doesn't have an opener. 9:30 is usually when half my faves get on stage anyway, and she kept going even tho her voice was giving out. And the audience was super chill too.
-
And yet she still split American Tradition and A Marvelous Persona

This was the best thing to come on this site to

We been hearing this for almost a year now at this point I won't be mad if she delivers it next year.

You said I was the most exotic flower You know how to whistle don't you (just put your lips together and blow) Are you gonna hurt me now, or are you gonna hurt me later Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me

I used to be such a big Poppy fan, like when she was That Poppy and there was so much mystery surrounding her. I remember actually buying the Bubblebath EP and her real name, Moriah Pereira, accidentally being on there WAY back in the day. When I found out that she copied Mars to the bone, I switched so fast to Mars and fell in love with her because it didn't feel so forced. Mars was able to make it feel natural, the reason why Moriah is so robotic and stone cold is that she's unoriginal in just about everything she does. Grimes showing interest in her and just that whole lot really makes me uncomfortable too, I don't know I feel like it was kinda known that both Titanic and Poppy were manipulative but Poppy's (diminished flop) fanbase LOVES to act like Moriah never did anything wrong and she was a victim when they went out of their way to attend the same college Mars was going to. Idk I'll always say fuck Poppy for that one, that first EP kinda bopped but its clear she only does exactly what she's told and is the dictionary definition of a soulless industry plant

If Anyone has the master post and would like to share it with me, I would be forever grateful!!

Does anyone know anything about if she ever reworked any of her older songs other than Observatory Mansions and Angels of Porn? I know there are some live versions of Coma Baby and Dog Teeth that sound reminiscent of NBL Era, I also know that Atroopa Belladonna was reworked into Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus, but with a lot more screaming in the demo. God I love Nicole, she is truly a genius and I wish that more people would see that
-
The crowd that's cheering during Off to the Races and This is What Makes Us Girls really makes both those songs
