i listen to something from every album but
N1A, True Romance, and now Crash are the holy trinity to me  

do not disrespect 2099

it's one of those albums where the highs are some of the best songs she's ever made but the lows are absolute duds
and it's not cohesive whatsoever
 
like next level charli, gone, silver cross, official, shake it, february 2017 are all career highlights
and 1999, blame it on your love and warm are a bit forgettable
 
 
i am not a self-titled defender but you did not just say that about one of her best songs

i think the era made me despise the album
like she had 5 years to basically record her third album, yes a lot of work was lost but was that really the best she could bring? also that whole era was just mind bogglingly long... it started in late 2018, ended in late 2019... and then she toured so basically it ended early 2020 right before lockdown.
that era is just a rough spot for me. the koolaid dipped bangs, blame it on your love actually releasing and it being kinda terrible, official aging like milk, 2099 existing.. its just not a good era imo

True Romance a little too low on some of your discography rankings 

I just know she's gonna go berserk when it comes to performing lightning on tour

self titled has very high highs, some of my fav songs of her, but as a body of work it's really at the bottom for me. It feels like a playlist. Still higher than SUCKER tho, even though I do like SUCKER (& it's also more cohesive than selt titled). She has no bad albums tbh. 

Noooo, it's miles better than Beg for You and New Shapes imo.

okay i caved and listened to it, i was not as strong as i thought.
 
overall: her best album hands down - it’s giving me a darker, sexier, more polished xcx world (her second best album idgaf). an album i know i won’t get tired of

i think the most refreshing part of crash is that it's purely charli bar the two collabs, she fucking killed it across the board!

Sometimes I think some of her fans are actually just SOPHIE & AG fans who just see her as a vessel for those two's songs which is why theyre comfortable being so disrespectful and foul to her online.
