This album caught me by surprise. I really didn't know what to expect, but I was afraid the album would be boring and OH MY GOD, it is anything but. NFR is a beautiful album but I still have such a sour taste in my mouth from how the release was handled that it is tainted for me. You would think I would feel the same about COCC but I don't for some reason.

It's intimate and has such atmosphere. Wistful. Airy. Short and sweet. I can't wait to really get to know these songs. I like the first half of the record better than the second right now.

okay i'm limiting myself to just listening to White Dress and Tulsa Jesus Freak

 

I blasted White Dress while driving home from school and it was amazing.... you can tell how personal and raw the song is to her, and the outro was simply fantastic.

 

Tulsa was super interesting! I love the playful vibe, it strayed away from Cinnamon Girl energy and some parts low-key felt like hyperpop? Either way, I did enjoy the song.

White Dress = Cruel World in terms of my feelings for these songs. I can't believe she was able to create something as equally beautiful, different and haunting as an opener. I'm so in love with the way she sings WD and beyond excited that we're getting a music video. Brb crying again

hearing 30 sec snippets of these songs would not do them justice at all.... 30 seconds of songs like DBJAG, White Dress or Dance Till We Die wouldn't have given a clear picture of what the song would really amount to by the end of listening the full thing
