Super Movie 51,641 Posted March 14, 2022 Lana actually went MIA so that we'd be in for even more of a surprise when she surprise drops LDR9 on April 1st

Collabing with dead artists is super unethical and disrespectful. If she ever did that I would unstan immediately. Luckily she has ethics and would never. The worst thing you can do to an artist truly is take away their artistic credibility and agency.

I don’t think I could ever unstan her, But I completely agree with the collaborate with a dead guy trend. I was just on Warner Record’s website the other day & saw Mac Miller is among their current artists. I just think it’s bad taste. And you know, because they’re dead.

I listen to a lot of rap, which has a fuckton of posthumous collaborations and solo releases, so I don't see it as a bad thing.

It’s exploitation plain and simple. As a socialist I’d be a giant hypocrite if I was ok with giant music conglomerates shitting all over artist’s artistic legacy to make a quick buck off of post death attention

I just want people to know how wonderful as an artist she was. 21 minutes ago, Super Movie said: Just because you like two artists, that doesn't mean they should collab Lies. Or an Allie X x Lana song! Marina x Lana = possibly. Allie X & Lana = nope. I love them all & I love so many artists. But we need to accept that Lana is not that kind of artist who should be featured or having a feature in a song, she's best soo. And dont let me start about the Dont Call Me Angel incident. It was traumatizing lmao and side bar: I dont think Marina & Lana still has that same artistry that they can go together anymore, even their mindsets as well. They're just too different now & it's not 2015 anymore so we can stop putting false hope on that i dont think they're even friendsanymore 5 @WHORE OF TROPICO ⇨ @SALVAWHORE
bluechemtrails 26,636 Posted March 14, 2022 the only collab I would allow is with Barrie-James and then only the song UFB
Sugar Venom 9,657 Posted March 14, 2022 I listen to a lot of hip hop too and and just because posthumous releases/collabs happen doesn’t mean it’s acceptable I also see a lot of deceased people’s children/estates abusing their name, doing all sorts of non music partnerships and collabs and just slapping the persons name on it, using it as a copout to jumpstart their own music career etc. It’s beyond disrespectful. Zero integrity, all greed. Lana herself said she didn’t want her music to be shared after she passes, so I doubt she’d be open to other posthumous collabs either
