MargaretThatcher 1,333 Posted September 5, 2020 Just an idea, Lana should do a residency in Las Vegas. Once we get back to normal there are a handful of venues I can see Lana performing at. I vote for the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. It would be perfect for Lana as it would be the same venue night after night. These residencies are a huge draw and it brings people in. It could really draw Lana fans to Las Vegas. Lana is really perfect for Las Vegas.

Also, I think it'd be extremely cringe. 2 Quote ur legit gonna look the same stop buying oil of Olay face cream

MargaretThatcher 1,333 Posted September 5, 2020 When I say a residency, that does not mean a long residency. She could do a one month residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. Three shows a week over four weeks. Not all residencies we have here are years long. If she wanted to do something longer, she could do it as Caesars Palace. Look at all the residencies we have here. We have so many different people from different genres and people you wouldn't expect.
takeitdoen 10,629 Posted September 5, 2020 umm not to be a snob but I don't think Lana is a strong enough performer to do a Vegas residency also She seems to hate performing, and committing to anything - a run of like 100 shows with the same delivery and material seems like something she would not be down for. Unlike Celine Dion, L. Gaga or Britney Spears she has never really presented anything theatrical or substantially interesting on her tours - on top of that if the production were to be a cabaret style she would need to carry the performance by being charismatic and interesting. To me that seems like she is not really interested in that style of performance. She would have to live in Vegas, which is like the opposite type of Tulsa county life. In all seriousness, the Vegas transition is said to come with an enormous psychological toll. She has terrible vocal technique, and she would never be able to continue her vaping fun lifestyle. She would not be able to sustain a run for that long unless she did some major vocal training. She would need to perform for at least 90 minutes of material, and can't be late or cancel performances at the drop of a hat like so is OFT to do. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a Franco Dragone directed phantasmagoria with Lana, but I just don't think she could pull it off. 8 minutes ago, urgirl said: I feel like a residency would be a lot less psychologically tolling than touring But she is able to cancel touring at the last minute with no repercussions if she needs a break psychologically (see: NFR tour 2020 in Europe), plus can have large breaks between stops. Residences are a set 6 - 8 shows a week. I feel like a younger, brighter Lizzy Grant type could pull this off, but she has shown herself to be extremely lazy. She can't even commit to an album date.
MargaretThatcher 1,333 Posted September 5, 2020 3 minutes ago, urgirl said: I feel like a residency would be a lot less psychologically tolling than touring It would. This is why so many artists come here and do residencies. We have a great variety of venues. Instead of going on long tours, some artists chose to come here and do residencies. People like to come here. When things get back to normal and we can reopen our performance venues, Lana would be perfect. Lana would never agree to do something at Park MGM. The Planet Hollywood Resort could be a maybe. Caesars Palace I could absolutely see her saying yes to. House of Blues (at Mandalay Bay) would be really sweet.
Rorman Nockwell 57,323 Posted September 5, 2020 20 minutes ago, urgirl said: I feel like a residency would be a lot less psychologically tolling than touring I disagree; as @takeitdoen said, she can't just cancel shows or leave early if she feels like it. Not to mention she seems like the type who gets bored easily, so doing the same show week in, week out, in the same venue for months or years does not seem like Lana. Maybe when she's much older, but not now. It just seems like the exact opposite of something she'd wanna do. 0 Quote ur legit gonna look the same stop buying oil of Olay face cream

Though that ticket price would be feasible though!

bloodydriver 4,582 Posted September 6, 2020 I legitimately don't understand the hatred towards women in society. Like, we're all humans in the end, right? Why do women have to be treated much more harshly than men? If a man slips up, people forget and move on. However, if a woman slips up she's ripped to shreds and forgotten by the world.
yayoop 4,616 Posted September 6, 2020 (edited) I love reading Lana’s ideas about the world outside of a poetry/song context I don’t think she’s (ironically) very good at expressing her ideas or thoughts because they’re generally around nuanced topics (she also likes to indulge in dramatic flairs) But I think in a plain conversation context it really shines Like the part where she talks about “we’ve hit a boiling point for a while now, people were just too busy” amazing Let those emotions out gurl, You can feel her frustration When she talks revolution it’s easy to be like “lol classic” but I literally just imagine the world like the HungerGames and changing a system is difficult and confronting in a lot of different ways for everybody idk I’m not very good at expressing myself either so I get it ahaha this is a pointless post (all my posts are pointless) cause I have no memory #LanaDelEverdeen Edited September 6, 2020 by yayoop Had an extra thought 1 Quote " />
