Lana Del Rey and Quavo “Tough” - OUT NOW!

Recommended Posts

The video does an epic job of making it look like the videographer is constantly interrupting them about to knock boots, so to speak :cumming2:

‘Fucking God bless us all and let’s hope we make it through this.’

Here is another “demo” of the song. It seems like that majority of the songwriting credits come from all the people that wrote the chorus.

i’m confused… so did he write the chorus originally, and clay reworked it?

Right I’m confused too. I don’t get what Clay added to this song.

Imo the melody is different in each of the choruses of Maddox and Clay. I think Clay used Maddox’s vibe and lyrics and adapted the melody to be more Lana-esque which is what Lana ultimately used

edit: Maddox and Clay follow each other

edit 2: at the start of his voice note, Clay says “I think melody would be something like..” so I guess that confirms that he took Maddox’s first version and tweaked it.

This makes sense. I don’t think he contributed to any of the lyrics either. He didn’t tag Clay in his post at least.

Okay that makes me feel better about thinking that this is her worst song ever lyrically :toofunny:

Overall... I think the song is just fine. It feels very demoy to me honestly

The highlight really is the bridge and her vocals

So it was originally “Lord” not “Lord’s/lords”. I wonder why they changed it? What do they even mean by “Sure as the good Lord’s/lords up above” it doesn’t make sense to me as the possessive or plural form of Lord.

We must endure but once the hype wears off the truth will shine through! :true:
