The upside to this election is that regardless of who wins, Trump is done. Trump said if he loses this election, he won't try again. And if Trump wins, he can't run again.

If Trump wins, it’s going to enable republicans to go even more hardcore MAGA. I wouldn’t be surprised if Don Jr. runs for office as a result. Since daddy Donny boy will be in a lame duck term and old af, he’s going to be way more unhinged than anyone can fathom. 
 

On the other hand, if he loses, I think the right has to change course. Or maybe it will further divide the party.

What incentive do they have to change if he wins again? I think it’s the opposite.

If Trump wins the presidency but ends up a lame duck, it would signal to the Republicans that Trump's platform and policies were failures since he couldn't bring them the House and Senate. That would be their incentive.

Lame duck just means he can’t get elected again for a 3rd term. (Unless the Republicans try to change that ) Obama was a lame duck going into the 2016 election.

wait, I thought a lame duck was when a President was in power but their party didn't have the Congress. Is there a term for that? (Like if a Republican wins the White House but loses the Congress, I mean)

last time it took 4 days after election day to announce the winner so the tension won’t even be relieved tomorrow, who knows how long it will take this year

If it’s a landslide, we could know by this time Tuesday night. (If Kamala is winning East Coast swing states like PA and NC and others are trending that way, a call could be made just hours after the polls close)

Tbh if Kamala can pull 50% of the Haley vote across the country she’s doing good (also, I’m pretty sure 4/5 of those Biden voters passed away 😭).

I just read only 3 of the people who voted lived there in 2020, and the other 3 are new. So it's possible the 3 Harris votes were previous Biden voters, and all three of the new people were the Trump voters.

I still don't like it.

Looking into this more, in 2020 there were 4 independents and 1 Republican. Now it's 4 Republicans and 2 independents. So one could presume the 3 Harris voters also voted for Biden, there are no Biden-Trump voters bc the Trump voters weren't there in 2020, and Harris won 100% of the independent vote and 25% of Republican vote.
