Psychologically, this MAGA thing can probably be explained by an inferiority complex or something like that. With the rise of China, the US is no longer the undisputed No. 1, but instead of coming to terms with this, Trump wants to make another big move, which will ultimately set him back further (which the next POTUS will then have to pay for). He is caught in the same trap as Putin, who seems to have somehow failed to overcome the collapse of the Soviet Union. The bad thing is that everyone else (in the US and in the world) is currently suffering because Trump thinks that the weaker ones have to pay for his incompetence.

Yes the conservative zeitgeist is all connected now. That’s why Trump is kicking out actual journalists and bringing in TikTok influencers to join the press pool. That’s why he relied on Theo Von and Joe Rogan to humanize MAGA and move men to the right. This is his way of “repaying” the young male voters who got him elected. 53% of white women (majority of women in US) voted for trump, yet apparently 60% of women are pro choice (different source). But 92% of black women voted kamala. So really more specific demographic stuff indicates where people lean more. The older you are the more likely you are to support Trump, which indicates many of his supporters have Boomer Brain disorder and will be healed via natural causes within the next 20 years. Also notice how the more educated you are the more you veer left LOL.

 

Honestly i think things are a lot more geographic than people realize. Almost all women and black people i know are Trump supporters. My mom and sisters and like 2 coworkers are the only exceptions. That’s just the way it is in the bum fuck midwest. The conservative club in my school was like half women. I imagine it’s even worse in the south. I also think circumstances dictate where people lean. Biden was super unpopular during his term with inflation and his degrading speech and appearances.  So people may have went the other way as a response to that. I imagine Trumps hectic end to his term in 2020 played a role in getting Biden elected as well. Overall, i imagine that as time passes and the Trump era ends and his cult fades away, society will become more progressive as people become more educated. I imagine religion being on the decline will help as well. If you’re christian there’s a high likelihood you’re pro-choice and therefore probably voting republican. But i might be very wrong about all of this and the world will just end soon

it definitely is geographical, i live in the midwest as well, but where i live is definitely way more blue, since you would see plenty of harris/walz signs, it seems like major cities and more urban areas in general, at least in some states, lean blue, but when you drive out to the rural parts of my state, you'll start finding pro-life billboards, it's definitely a bit jarring since my state in general is quite blue and i suppose i'm just not used to seeing it, it's interesting how certain factors, such as whether or not an area is urban or rural, play a role in the political beliefs of the people in said areas, and it's just so obnoxiously ironic how much christianity and supporting trump go hand-in-hand, i really do believe no real christian who actually follows the teachings and philosophies of jesus christ would ever support someone as heinously stupid and hateful as him, but i suppose it only makes sense that people who follow today's stereotypical version of christianity which is completely skewed from what it's really supposed to be about are more susceptible to cults

 

also, it's funny to me how your school (high school?) had a conservative club, mine had an LGBT club!
