Unpopular Lana Opinions

also actual grunge fashion started in the 1980s if i remember correctly?? and had a much heavier and iconic influence in the 90s that then had a resurgence on tumblr that created its own variation ( being soft grunge) ???
like did they just watch one of those nostalgia slide shows of tumblr soft grunge 2014 and assumed that was the creation of grunge?

Oh yes, I didn’t want to blow her mind even more by telling her my gen x mother was wearing creepers when she was a teen in the 80s :thumb3: she’d probs just reply stating she was gen z too lol

I've said this million times but Million Dollar Man and Honeymoon are sister tracks lyrically. The Bond themes that got away :illumilana:

Ocean Blvd gotta be the most fun era we’ve had since lust era..! Maybe even as fun as born to die was? To fans who’ve known her, was btd era lana as big as ob era lana? I’ve been a fan since lust and i do think this is the biggest i’ve seen of lana

people who hate on blue banisters do it for one of two reasons

1- they see it as either a waste of unreleased tracks or a 'lazy' album. we were never supposed to have the songs on that album, so if you go in with the mentality of it being new, it is classic after classic

2- they followed that hate train

in conclusion blue banisters is an incredible album and is worthy of a top 5 spot in her discography

Just facts ❤️

My personal n°1 record from her. Just music to reflect deeply on while thinking about the reasons to love, suffer and keep looking at life's eyes knowing that there's no safe way to do it, just the chance that it'll end up making sense.

Long live Blue Banisters :)

I’m not gonna lie and say blue banisters doesn’t have potential to be an amazing album, but I honestly think this album was rushed. She should’ve sat on it longer and released it as another 11 track album in 2022.

Ocean Blvd would be her best album if all the production was as good as the first 4 tracks

Like how do we have a masterpiece like A&W and then a muffled mess like Kintsugi😭 So many incredible songs that are dulled because of unprofessional mixing and production. It doesn’t make me dislike the songs but something like Fishtail would be so much better if it had clear production and vocals

On the topic... I actually really like Beautiful and I don't understand why it's so overhated :brigitte:

I didn't like the SNL skit of Lana at all to be honest. I know that it supposed to defend her but I don't like the mannerisms Kirsten did of her (nothing against Kirsten herself tho), felt kind of a disrespectful stereotypical parody. Made Lana look dumb. Also I'm saying that as someone who likes dark humor
