artists doing this is genuinely suuuuuch a pet peeve of mine. its like…. whats the point. is making your song titles look a little tiny bit prettier really that important

Playboi Carti and Anitta, obviously, then Lana Del Rey as we all know, the other two features are Travis Scott and Future. For a 22-track album and The Weeknd being such a household name, I was thinking we've gotten more features than that. Makes me think something else is coming

I think it's to build hype for an album. Tyler, The Creator did that with his album, and then he added the futures a couple days later. So, I'm guessing The Weeknd is doing that with his album. But with only five features, hiding collaborators on your album isn't something I would suggest 

 

also wtf is this album as long as a movie.. I thought I was gonna listen to a 45-min album before I go to bed  Ima just wait until tomorrow to listen to it

also not to mention, some of these tracks were meant for the two albums before it. take me back to la was for after hours i believe. does anyone know if he changed the titles from the physical version? there's some tracks missing from the streaming version that are on the physical

it's weird there's 2 different versions of it...

 

Abel, Mike Dean, Metro Boomin, and DaHeala produced The Abyss. interesting. i wonder if her part was a vocal take she did with mike dean when they were working together a couple years ago, it sounds very Blue Banisters in the big vocals part and lyrically would make sense for an angry song that never came to fruition

the way i wouldn't put that past him assfgjfsks i guess we'll just have to wait till he drops the usual deluxe edition to get the full experience

There’s some good songs on the album, but honestly - i can see why this is his last. I think he’s really taken this sound as far as he can at this point. 

 

And this tracklist is WAY too long lol…..like, calm down Abel plz.

 

So glad to hear Lana on it, it just wouldn’t have felt right not having her on his last album under his Weeknd name. I love their musical journey together, so cute.

Also, I claim the track Open Hearts as a favorite so far. Definitely single-worthy. EDIT: Of course it's the only Max Martin produced track lol. That guy will just outproduce everyone. 

 

The transition between Baptized in Fear into Open Tracks and then that entire 6-9 track run is pretty f-ing solid.

The alternate track listing for the "first pressing" version is: "Without Warning", "Cry for Me", "São Paulo", "How It Feels", "Take Me Back to LA", "The Abyss", "Open Hearts", "Timeless", "Give Me Mercy", "Runaway", and "Red Terror"

 

according to wikipedia. idk, maybe it's wrong because hhv had a different tracklist
