Okay, so, I avoided the leak and after seeing all the ambivalence about the record I was prepared for smth bad but I must say...

 

the albums slaps. Ari really went the distance and said 'f*ck me' and 'p*ssy' haha

 

The faves so far are motive - LOVE the instrumental, just like magic, MY HAIR [my top fave atm], nasty, love language, pov and off the table

 

The title track also works so much better w/in the album

I agree that it's a very mixtape-y album, but as long as Ari's inspired and spitting out music, I'll listen. Definitely no TUN, DW, or even Sweetener, but it's cute. Probably won't run through the whole album again, but there are definitely songs I'll revisit.

Ariana music is kinda boring : I How is she so popular. And UGH - I hate the sound of trap music. Okaaay it was a thing in 2016-2017 but WHY DO ARTISTS KEEP DOING IT? Let it go. No more traps it's ugly and overused.

i think it’ll grow on me. but GODDDDDDDD it was so hard to get through and it’s such a short album. i love ari and i don’t wanna be mean but the only thing saving some of these tracks is the fact that she’s an excellent singer. i think there’s something to like about every track but most of them are not as instant for me. just like magic is absolute completely filler though and i kinda h*te that one. shut up and love language are very good and their instrumentals are top tier chefs kiss baby

No, because I wouldn't wanna miss a single track of that album. But I listened to the tracks randomly and I liked this even more than the original tracklist order.

I think this record should have started with 34+35 and Shut Up should have been the last track. But this is just my opinion.

pov is such a gorgeous track, but the 'yeah/yuh' at the very end was utterly unnecessary 

 

I'm still waiting for an all ballad album. I know she would never do smth like that, but I can dream

Y’all are really eating this album alive when it’s not that bad. She’s never pushed boundaries with her music before so I don’t know why people were expecting that of her with this one?? I do agree it kinda feels like a mixtape, but I don’t mind. It definitely doesn’t top DW or TUN for me, but I didn’t rly expect it to anyways lol.
