I personally do not think Live or Die is going to make it to UV, I can't really formulate too much of a supporting reason just because we haven't heard anything that is directly linked to Ultraviolence (and that goes for Black Beauty and AFFA, too, because Lana can easily scrap them as third-album concept tracks,) but I just don't think it will resonate with the sound or atmosphere Lana says she intends for the third-album.

I hope no one minds that I change the subject, I'm just worried that this rumor/speculation/possible half-truth might overshadow the discussion we could be having about ULTRAVIOLENCE, even if all we're discussing is possible sound/style/lyrical themes or even possible inspirations.

Speaking of the latter, does anyone have possible/fantasy inspirations in mind that Lana may be using to find her muse with ULTRAVIOLENCE? I know Clockwork Orange is up there, and I personally can see Lana, with her intentions of a stripped down album, also be driven by the poetry of Frank O'Hara (if she read his work, of course. I feel like it wouldn't be a surprise, so much of Frank's work would be delightful to Lana.)

Does anyone have a theme they want to see in UV? If there's still a connection to Lana's nature in AKALG/BTD[PARADISE]/both, what do you want her to carry over in UV? What do you want her to leave behind?

Facts: some weeks before Lana did an interview where she said her "muse was very flicke" and didn't know for sure what to write now that some of her new songs leaked. Not even one month later, she announces a new album. If what this guy clamming is true and there is a real chance of Live or Die really be on ULTRAVIOLENCE, I think this indicates that new album could be a compilation of old songs or maybe a mix  of new and old ones.

It's odd how she described her next album to be stripped down, but then she gave the title "Ultraviolence" which doesn't resonate well with "Striped Down" at all.

 

Born To Die has a lot slow ballads which is fitting to the title.

 

Paradise is more of the same thing with less hip hop but more rockish and angelic, etheral (Bel Air, Yayo, etc) seems fitting.

 

When I hear Ultraviolence, I imagine in my head to be more uptempos or maybe scremo, eletronic, new wave.

Also, read her hand!!! I think that is a good indication of what ever the fuck this fraud is saying about writing Lana's songs. But then again, I might be butthurt that Lana didn't actually write my most favoritest song in her discography   I refuse to believe anyone but Lana wrote Live or Die!!

Dan Heath is a very good producer, but he actually does heaps of different genres (but yes, he specialises in the cinematic strings sound). So it's false to just expect a Bel Air/Y&B light-airy type orchestral album. He does amazing upbeat 'epic' trailer music. Heath working the Lana has no indication on which direction her genre's shifting to (if it does shift at all).

Live or Die is good, but even reworked it'll never be album worthy, especially if she wants her stripped down Black Beauty/Angels Forever sound. I call bullshit on this whole thing based on that fact alone.

I had no idea you could just email UMG like that but good call.

His posts just seemed oddly specific, enough to intrigue mr and not discard him as a troll right away, but this certainly doesn't help his credibility.
