YUNGATA 14,955 Posted December 5, 2013 yeeeah i love dem strippers. just basically all of gods and monsters and the chola scenes were v cool and kinda grungey, at least in terms of colour palette.
ZoeDelRey 160 Posted December 5, 2013 Bel Air scene was my favorite. I got really emotional during that scene, it was just so adorable.
urbannoize 1,596 Posted December 5, 2013 The Bel Air scene couldnt have been more perfect. From the shots in the field, to the great and wonderful lightening. Theres just something about it that elevates the record. Plus Lana looked amazing. She mind as well have been an angel. & The Garden of Eden scene as well was great. From the colors and shots, to how John Wayne, Marliyn Monroe, and Jesus was captured. There was this very dope approach taken with them that i havent seen before. & The way everything just plays out was perfect too. & You get so caught up in the music and her dancing, that you forget that she's about to do something forbidden by eating the fruit.
Tyler 842 Posted December 5, 2013 This wasn't my favorite part, but I enjoyed the scenes in the trailer, because 1) Lana needs to wear her hair up so much more, it's adorable and makes her look younger. 2) It seemed so Lizzy Grant era and this was suppose to be semi autobiographical.
LittleFool 1,912 Posted December 5, 2013 Everyone's reaction to Lana eating the apple was brilliant. Body Electric was so intense and Bel Air was incredible.
Guest Dot Posted December 5, 2013 Gods & Monsters all the way!!! The stripping, the scenes of her and Shaun in the living room, the cholas, the skull party...everything about it was just so intense and crazy, I loved it. Bel Air is such a lovely song and it got the video it deserved. It's so peaceful and heavenly. It's quite minimalistic, cause there isn't much going in terms of editing. Idk maybe I just need to rewatch it, but I wasn't as thrilled while watching it. I like the set they used for Body Electric and the colours they used, but that song is just so boring and annoying I just can't like it. Actually the song ruined it for me, cause otherwise this scene could've been my favourite.
Trinity 1,227 Posted December 6, 2013 Some of my favorite scenes are: When the snake is slithering down her body, I think it's just beautiful. The baptism scene. The grocery/convenience store scenes (really only like these parts because of the colors, not because of Shaun) When they're dancing in the Garden of Eden The skull makeup scenes

Deleted User 1,354 Posted December 6, 2013 There's this really short tad bit at the very beginning... They look happy, they look dearly entwined... But she lets go of Shaun's hand, and suddenly the snake appears... The tricked innocence look on her face, and the perplexing fear in the complexion of everyone's faces... When she falls by the bite of the apple and wakes up to be a survivor of her own decay...
Creyk 11,727 Posted December 6, 2013 Like everyone else I loved the Bel Air parts a lot....and then when Lana ate the apple and there was the lightning and everything, it was so intense. The whole thing was so perfect.

cinnamon 224 Posted December 6, 2013 Lana's stripping scenes obvs I absolutely loved all of Bel Air. it was so fucking beautiful. the lighting was gorgeous and when she spins in the field and she looks so happy and omfg I lovedddd G&M too though. I was desperately hoping they'd add drums to Body electrics instrumental, so disappointed that they didn't
MaterialDiamond 106 Posted January 10, 2014 All the scenes were just perfect, but Bel Air was my favorite, cause it was so special. It really moved me, I just sat there crying. That song has a special meaning to me and the video made it even better and Tropico as a whole is a masterpiece
Paradise Man 29 Posted January 25, 2014 I favor Lana blowing bubbles, throughout Gods And Monsters, although Body Electric and Bel Air are beautiful, bubbles from her in midst of all that is somehow wonderful.
cartoon eyes 2,564 Posted January 25, 2014 I liked the Tate Langdon Skull Face scene
cashcomesquick 5,381 Posted February 22, 2014 I was disappointed of the Gods and Monsters part. It's definitely one of my favorites. I expected something really dark, shocking and even heartbreaking because that's what the song embodies for me personally. Being a stripper, and doing drugs wasn't that shocking, Lanz, sorry. Tropico made me love Body Electric and I got to see a total different view on that song. My favorite scene is when she quotes Whitman: "O I say these are not the parts and poems of the body only, but of the soul, O I say now these are the soul!" The way she says it is so haunting and beautiful.
Lirazel 700 Posted February 22, 2014 Anything out of the Body Electric part, it was gloriously kitschy (obviously the whole movie was - but I only truly enjoyed the Body Electric part) ^this is perf, I consider putting it in my sig. I'm all for Lana Del Unicorns. ^this looks like out of a porn movie, lol ^wow, she sure was subtle about the snake! (wait - the whole movie was an perfect example of subtlety ) those shots were amazing tho. Oh, the trailer scenes were also good and unexpected! Such a cool throwback to her Lizzie Grant days 0 Quote i am nothing and should be everything
