    Don't fuck with me
    Don't fuck with me
    You're not a gangsta
    Don't fuck with me

    Yes, yes, yes (repeated)
    You're not a gangsta
    Fuck!

Worst track (if you want to call it that) Lana has ever released. As a recovering Christian, this track was triggering. I listened to it once, and blocked it from ever playing again on Spotify. I can't believe I blocked a Lana track I knew going into the album that this track featured a sermon, but I was hoping Lana would be scatting or something to make it redeemable. Yeah, nothing. Thank you, next.

I was amazed by HFK at the time of its release but it really has aged like milk for me. Now I’m really fascinated with the new album and I hope this is not the case with this one!

I live in a world where Halsey released a much better album than Lorde. 2021 is so fucked up, man.

i am not a woman, i’m a god is pure excellence. Can you imagine Lana working with Reznor/Ross? I would die.

I actually really love Guns and Roses too. the chorus is a bit weak but the first verse is amazing.

Flipside and Is This Happiness are really good as well, annoyed I won't have a physical copy of them though

We don't know the whole story and probably never will (and that's perfectly fine - it's Lana's story to tell if she chooses), but based on what she said in WW, I relate heavily to her relationship with her mother. I remember last year when people got so angry with Lana for not posting about her mom on mothers day and instead choosing to talk more about chosen family - honestly, it hurt me, which is stupid, but to see people have such a harsh reaction to that really struck a chord with me. A flat chord, at that. Not everyone has a loving, perfect relationship with their mom. And that shouldn't always be expected. All in all, I don't want to say what exactly I think did or didn't happen with Lana and her mom because that's such a personal thing, and it's hers to share if she feels like doing so. But I do want to say that it's clear the relationship is strained, and I can relate wholeheartedly to the lyrics in the second verse, as most of my siblings would if I were to play them the song.

What I can promise is I’ll lie down
    Like a bed of wildflowers
And I'll always make the sheets
Smell like gardenias wild at your feet
    And I nourish you lazily

    Those are such great lyrics

Everything that I wanted was pretty words and now I finally got them

I never thought Lana would ever sing about her relationship with her mom and decide to share it with the world... whew. The lyrics for this song is gorgeous.

Feeling a Shades of Cool pt 2 tbh (not lyrically, but ~sonically~)

Give me the quiet verses. Give me the belted out chorus. Tbh I'm thinking it'll be like a mix of Shades of Cool/Wait For Life/Money Power Glory. Or maybe it'll be something completely different. I don't know. hyped for it though

edit: actually I hope the first "Our Honeymoon" is quiet, the next louder and the last one belted like "youuu are unfixaaablee.." in SoC. OMG. I'm so excited to hear it now.

I am actually severely disappointed her. She is too talented to be this ignorant. I've been defending her like a clown this whole time and... Sigh. It's weird that I'm getting pissed, but like...

I’m sorry but the way she comes across as such a miserable bitch even to fans just literally asking questions....

I don’t understand why she’s like...bought her own hype so much in the last year

like was it NFR getting good reviews or what? She has become such a god damn delusional idiot

I thought i would never said this but sadly lana is fading. All of her problematic behavior, her lack of creativity and work (as you can see in this joke of a cover we got), she's not longer what she used to be and it is heartbreaking honestly.

She will do Summertime because it's Wintertime.

And she will tell us nothing.

it's so funny to me that the girl wants to play the victim once she's called out and brings up her tattoo like that grants her some sort of protection lmao. lana really doesn't owe anyone shit for the way she's been treated the last few months, she deserved to get called out for the mask but she literally gets called a trump supporting white supremacist karen every fucking day just for breathing even by the people who "support" her so we can't act surprised when she finally snaps. during her complex interview in 2017 she said she doesn't care about losing fans and why should she? these people think celebrities are their friends and they can just say whatever they want to them.

i forget about tropico more than i would like to admit.

  22. cinnamon liked a post in a topic by YUNGATA in Lana to Release Homemade Music Video for "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" - OUT NOW: October 16th, 2020
I like homemade videos, but this felt very limited. Previous homemade vids had concepts/stories behind them and the ones that didn't had planned out shots or looks. She previously used much more camera techniques, even things as basic as zoom, tilt or close ups. Consider the unreleased Honeymoon video, nothing much happens in terms of plot, but it's so visually captivating because of the way she filmed it. This really felt like cobbled together footage found on her phone with maybe 30~ seconds of planned footage. There's a noticeable difference between a lazy homemade vid and one that had lots of thought and effort put it into it.

i've said it before on this thread but Oh Say Can You See is so underrated - how can a song be so haunting yet so comforting at the same time?? it's kinda mysterious and gloomy but so warm and intimate, it literally feels like wandering around a yellow-tinged street at night with someone you love
