Divisive Princess 3,755 Posted February 23, 2014 I think it might be 'ball' as in speed balls that she mentions in Hollywood? Idk though, I could be wrong
Sitar 22,213 Posted February 23, 2014 And if you want the queen of New York then you better call me Travel on the train, I'm the best of all (which matches the next line) Of all the working girls, I'm the worst of 'em all

evilentity 13,345 Posted February 23, 2014 "Traveling on the train/12:01 the train(?) and the best of all" maybe "Travel on the train on the best of hour"? Mm, not too sure about this. I also can't tell whether it's "Travel on the train" or "12:01 the train". I definitely don't hear "on the best of hour". I hear "I'm the best of all" or "on/at the festival". "And he picks me up with a bag of ??? (bag and bowl?)" "Come and picks me up with a barrel ball?" I also don't hear "bag" of anything. Phonetically it sounds something like "at the parren-thall" or "at the barren-thall" but I don't know what. Also, isn't it "live like you're rich" and are you sure it's "I fill it up"? Also sounds like it could be "I feel it up". And if you want the queen of New York then you better call meBeat me to the punch. 0 Quote Stalking you has sorta become like my occupation. Mileena 2,691 Posted February 23, 2014 I think I have a theory for this song. I think it was a little rough draft just for her to practice harmonies. Bookbinder suggested that that weird male voice is from GarageBand so it makes sense.
Platinum Greenwich 13,848 Posted February 23, 2014 i hear "trouble on the train" tbh...edit: "and he picks me up at the ??? ball"
Wryta Thinkpiece 3,344 Posted February 23, 2014 i hear "trouble on the train" tbh... I hear "Trouble on the train," too, it makes sense with the rest of the verse and the verse following it. Everybody knows they call Lana "Trouble," baby.

annedauphine 35,923 Posted February 11, 2016 I fucking love this underrated song, better than Us Against The World in my book, it's so hot and the bridge is immense. I'm surprised at these lyrics I always thought it was "I like the way you move/look and the things that you do"? Idk it sounds much better imho but I may be wrong ofc
annedauphine 35,923 Posted May 24, 2016 Ok I've listened to it a billion times and slowed it down with audacity and all and I'm absolutely CONVINCED it's "by every way you move". It makes so much more sense and it's SO, SO SO much better imho. He's inspired by the way she moves like it makes sense. God I love this song so hard
13bitches 6,176 Posted December 28, 2019 Bop 0 Quote If by not 'up to par' you mean distilling the worst elements that only kind of work in songs, sure. I could put a dictionary audiobook on shuffle and put it to an instrumental of old money and some of y'all would still be saying it's 50/50 lmfao.
