slogan (1969) starring the iconique serge gainsbourg & jane birkin

it’s not like the greatest movie ever made or anything, it felt a little like it had no proper/set direction it was heading in & they were making it up as they went along (whimsical vibes) but meee oh myyy… were they adorable together <3 90 minutes well spent

just finished Vertigo ! I enjoyed it, despite the overt sexism (:eyeroll2:), as I do most of Hitchcock's flicks lolol

it was the 50s, so what can you do.. at least the times have changed

but a solid 3.5/5 imo... eerie, unsettling, surprising & all that jazz

i highly recommend seeing this on the big screen if you come across the opportunity.. i was gagged

want to highlight this film i just finished cause its not well known... starstruck 1982. it's an australian musical comedy about a girl trying to become a singer and her little cousin/manager. i think the production designer also did rocky horror which shows a lot in my opinion lol. it's very 80s and new wave and i just had a lot of fun with it :3 its in better quality on tubi but heres a youtube upload5-CD2-F4-C7-D11-F-44-E3-A300-7-EC2546-C4

The Thin Red Line, I'm a anti-war movie girly but aside from having a VERY big star studded cast, beautiful cinematography and some brilliants moments here and there... it was SO slow, I've watched longer movies that never felt like that, but this one did, especially with the constant shifting between the povs of characters. I expected more :aw:

Those summer nights seem long ago
And so is the girl you used to call
The queen of New York City
