For a while I thought Yayo was a pretty straightforward love song too, without the double entendre refering to drugs. I'm not a native english speaker and at the time I didn't know ''yayo'' was another name for coke. On top of the slang meaning, It's a nickname -a diminutive of sorts for certain names like Eduardo- and at the time there was a very big youtuber in the mexican YT community named Yayo Gutierrez, so everytime I heard the song I was reminded of the youtuber

I don't know what to expect sound wise, I just hope she does more in the vein of Let the Light In   what an amazing song.

It's honestly funny how she's been doing big numbers on streaming, BTD being damn near immortal on the charts, selling so much vinyl and having sold out shows ala hunger games when trying to get tickets, yet she's not really in the spotlight public wise? like lowkey but not really. I already said this before but, when she announced her concert at Foro Sol, many were skeptical about her doing a solo stadium show and a lot of people were hoping to get ''discounted tickets''. That show sold out within minutes with a queue of 40k people waiting and even physical fights between fans and resellers for reference, Arctic Monkeys is huge in Mexico and they're playing at Foro Sol too in October, but they still have tickets available (and they're not crazy expensive either).

He indeed has been one of her main muses and the relationship that has led to the creation of a lot of her best tracks imo. His influence is present in almost every album of hers and it doesn't surprise me since they had great creative chemistry. The fact that they still hold respect and high regards for each other is heartwarming, and thankfully we got Riverside released officially!
A joint album would've been absolute magic, but at least we have the tracks they created at the time to enjoy.

Barrie will always be my favourite collaborator of hers feature wise. Their voices match incredibly well, Summer Wine and Riverside are amazing. Her collabs with Stevie Nicks, Bobby Womack and Sean Lennon are among my favourites too.
From Ocean Blvd. Jon Batiste and Father John Misty are also top notch features, they're among the tracks I listen to the most from the album. I'm sure the upcoming track from Jon's newest album with her as a feature will be just as amazing as Candy Necklace.

I really did not expect Lana to drop that bomb about being on couple's therapy with Sean... it shines a new light on an already very sad situation.
I wonder if the whole back and forth with Donoghue (with her relationship with Evan inbetween) and subsequent breakup has made her revisit it again, she brought him with her to Brazil around her family only for him to start messing around with Stella Barey. Also, him being mentioned by name on Kintsugi still puzzles me a bit ngl.

Same. I'd love for her to do something a bit outside of her comfort zone but I don't wanna get my hopes up there's a lot of genres she could be doing or drawing influences from that could make the next record really good/interesting.

Yeah I gotchu, she has found a very comfortable and safe space with Jack + her team so it does leave her to stagnate a bit at times. She has found a very good peaceful spot in her life so I can 100% understand why she simply prefers to keep it that way until she feels ready to move on. Hopefully though she decides to experiment soon in the next record, I think Ocean Blvd. definitely is a good omen for her future records with more eerie vibes at times
