Sonically inconsistent, first single was supposed to Blackout inspired sellout pop and then the rest of the album is a funk/electropop/synth pop mess, half of it is skips and no the first step to beat was N1A then HIFN crash is quite literally sonically opposite to everything brat represents

 

unless you mean brat is the album that precedes brat temporally and then yes it’s the album She released right before! truly the step before brat

Because a lot of people just don't want to admit that it's not Charli XCX they like, it's the genre that they're in love with and she just happened to operate in it. HIFN and Pop2 and Vroom Vroom EP existed in that realm of glitch trap hyperpop experimental electronica and THAT'S what they like, and by extension, want to pigeonhole Charli into. It's why Crash, Sucker, TR, and a lot of unreleased/leaks, get utterly panned, binned, and passed over by fans despite being some really solid material.
