I’ve been thinking a lot about Welcome to My Island (Remix) lately

 

i know the general consensus is that everyone likes it and Charli also seems to love it as we’ve seen lately and I’m sure that since George produced and she’s very into him atm she’s even more drawn to it.

 

I’ve seen people talk about how this sounds just like a regular Charli song vs just a remix because of how good it is. imo this feels more like a remix than anything I’ve ever heard before.

 

her verses are good but they sound like they were written just to be a build up to this remix sounding drop. The whole production sounds very busy and very much like a remix (I mean it is a remix I get it). But I do worry if Charli’s solo output will have a similar sound.

 

I don’t know enough about George as a producer, but I know that this remix sounds very over produced even tho I do enjoy the outro a lot. HCINKWIFRN is also slightly overproduced sounding but I do still enjoy that one too.

 

I feel like I have a sense of George’s production style through those tracks but I’m not sure if I’m crazy about it to have lots of Charli’s solo output with George vs other producers.

I know what you mean…. It’s just a very “busy” track as far as the heavy usage of 808’s in the groove and very syncopated.

 

Can’t say I’ve heard anything particularly like it so it’s kinda just like “WOAHHH 808’s” when you hear it.

WTMI Remix and HCINKWINRN are some of my favourite Charli songs since How I’m Feeling Now so I cant say I agree with that take sorry 

I love the energy in them, and Charli’s delivery of the lines are sooooo fun especially in WTMI I really hope the future songs are in line with that sound tbh!

I Wanna Be With U is still one of Charli’s unarguably the best in her discography. SOPHIE & Charli were just unmatched & knew how to make iconic bangers.
