Thinking about Big Eyes and Age Of Adaline, so thankful that I discovered these films through Lana. One of my top favorites. They suit the Lana aesthetic very well too. I got goosebumps when Big Eyes song was played :pray2:

People, have you seen the short movie which was used as a promo for Jaguar's F-TYPE and which featured Lana's Burning Desire. I remember watching this, it was cute, kinda weird, nothing really special but once Burning Desire was played, instant goosebumps :pray2:

I Believe In Unicorns. It's more of a high budget art project than a film, but the main character's story reminds me so much of Lizzy and early Lana music.

I second this

I watched the dead poets society for the first time in full today and dude my life will never be the same. I thought it was gonna be a cute little film like the little women vibe but with men but that last 20 minutes was crazy and it happened so fast. Also why the fuck are boys so stupid now what happened to manners and caring about school all they do now is vape, drink and are disrespectful to everyone.

There's no thread for the FALLOUT show, and i didn't wanna make one but HELLO???????

CAN WE NOT AGREE THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST WELL PUT TOGETHER SEASONS OF TELEVISION WE'VE SEEN IN AGES???
As a lifelong fan, I'm truly touched, blown away (no pun intended), and SEATED for season 2. The countdown begins now!

I haven’t seen it but I have seen The Fallout movie with Maddie Ziegler and Jenna Ortega. It was good! I’ll add the show to my watchlist x

The whole Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni thing is RIDICULOUS

And by "ridiculous", I mean the conclusions people are jumping to

Like that clip of Blake pushing the kid on the swing and under it were about 200 comments saying she was pushing the kid wrong. And according to them, she was pushing the kid wrong because she has four kids but the nanny raises her kids and she never pushes them on swings and that must be why she can't push the kid on the swing and THEREFORE she's the bad person in this situation.

And one person even went into this very scientific analysis of how she was pushing the kid on the swing and it was all about physics and the size of the child and all this shit, and they're like "so THAT'S how you know she's never pushed a kid on a swing before" and tbh I've never thought that deeply about pushing a kid on a swing ever

And then somehow it's also Taylor's fault because Taylor and Blake are friends

And then I watched this other video where Blake and Justin are just walking around in a park (?) and she's pointing at stuff and gesturing with her arms and he's nodding, and you can't actually hear what they're saying but according to the losers in the comments, this is Blake telling Justin what to do and how dare she tell him how to direct his (bad) movie and all this shit

WTF? People are honestly CRAZY

You know and because she's standing there talking and laughing he couldn't POSSIBLY be predatory and she couldn't POSSIBLY be uncomfortable as if women don't act like this ALL THE TIME around predators to placate them

The case hasn't even happened yet but everyone has just decided that she's making stuff up and he's an innocent angel. When are we, as a society, going to believe women when they say they feel threatened and uncomfortable?

/end rant

sorry for the long rant but there are sooo many things about this that are making me believe he’s not innocent or the good person he claims to be, yet so many people seem to be blind to anything that’s damning for him

• Him hiring the PR team in the first place (some texts between his PR team about ruining her are dated January 2024 way before anyone started questioning why they weren’t promoting together) EDIT: Sorry I read the date wrong somewhere, it’s been stated they were hired in July. But the fact still stands that he can’t refuse he hired them, he’s now trying to justify doing it

• Him providing texts as evidence without timestamps

• Him using her text saying she’ll meet the intimacy coordinator when filming starts instead of before as proof she refused to have one on set (???)

• His evidence being full of irrelevant things seemingly to make the facts cloudy

• Him asking her for her input then talking shit about her involving herself in the process behind her back (as shown in his own evidence)

• Saying she edited texts when it was about an omitted emoji that the subpoena software doesn’t pick up anyways

• The narrative that is being pushed of her falling in love with him, essentially pushing the “she asked for it” narrative

• The video of the slow dancing scene showing her leaning away from him and suggesting they talk instead of physical intimacy, yet people twist everything about it to “She’s into him because she’s not a good enough actress so any on-screen chemistry is just her in real life”, somehow they always claim he’s acting and she’s not

• Saying she broke character by talking when she was saying stuff like “Talking talking talking” to make it look like the characters are talking but then he is the one who starts talking about real life stuff

• Her being “cancelled” for the “Wear your florals” comment when Sony had been using that line days/weeks before she said it

• Him using her not having read the book as an excuse to go off script because she just should’ve known (movies differ from books all the time so I don’t find it that relevant if she didn’t read the book)

• The Scooter Braun connection to his PR firm and the subsequent dragging of Taylor Swift’s name and morals (Side note, is she not allowed to believe and support her friend??)

• Being a self-proclaimed feminist ally yet hiring a lawyer with SA allegations on his back, regarding a minor

The big TikTokers supporting him (and controlling the narrative) being connected to him through having the same lawyer

I could go on…

The worst part of this is how the message of the book/movie is the love bombing and gaslighting and the vibes I’m getting from him currently are exactly that

You are soooo right

I agree with everything you said (but especially the part about the "she asked for it" narrative)

I think that's what making me angry - people trying to make this into a really public example of how women make up sexual assault and harassment allegations to smear innocent men instead of simply BELIEVING THE WOMAN when she says he was inappropriate and that she was uncomfortable.

As I said - people are really using how she pushes a child on a swing to justify not believing her.

And if someone as famous and powerful as Blake Lively gets treated like this, what hope is there for all other women?

This is one of the most absurd and stupidest things since Depp vs. Heard in that idiotic, public kangaroo court. Justin Baldoni seems like a slimy, sleazy human being and I question anyone who openly supports him--they are either misogynists or on his pay roll.

It seems like Blake Lively's two biggest sins are:

  1. Being kinda cringey  ("Like Kahleisi, I too have dragons [Taylor Swift and Ryan Reynolds]"; "grab your flowers, grab your girls"). That's literally how every theatre kid ever talks IRL. Also why are we acting like a Colleen Hoover book is some serious introspection on DV? It's not, this is a cheap book with a cheap plot; acting like Blake needed to be in mourning the entire time she promoed it is ridiculous (plus the DV thing is technically meant to be a "plot twist" that's not initially apparent to viewers)
  2. Asking to not have to needlessly interact with her (for legal reasons, alleged) abuser. Having Ryan Reynolds there, and distancing herself from Justin are normal behaviours given the circumstances.

Neither of these things is in any way proportionate to the hate she has been receiving.

I really hope Blake Lively comes out victorious, because Baldoni's tactics are beyond disgusting and should have no place in a serious court.
