Lust For Life - Pre-Release Thread

If it isn't, you sure as hell know we'll get 50 snippets of it over the course of 8 months, and then we'll suffer, suffer a little more, and it will finally leak, but it will be edited. :toofunny:

I'm on it

I feel so bad for Lana. She obviously saw her own fans criticizing and dragging her so she made the decision to clarify that she wrote it a month ago.

And the fact that she probably saw the great response the initial video had and thought to record it to make us happy and then she gets dragged... very sad

Good that will remind her eternally to not write songs in one month and just throw random melodies/beats

Cause that song is ruined forever

the face of the gay community, a revolutionary pop, country, jazz, opera, rock, AND broadway singer.

An award winning actress who is currently writing all the music for, and acting in the remake of Barbara Streisand's "A Star Is Born"

she'll be in the rock & roll hall of fame, trust me.

legends only.

When Lana fans try to come for Gaga I honestly cringe, lmao. Our fav is nothing in comparison...

Btw I like how so many things are suddenly being released this week after we've been kept in the dark for so long. she's tryna maximize potential first week sales :creep:

Tbh Lana was probably pushed to put some kind of beat on Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind. I'm not saying she was forced, but her label seems to be pushing her away from her normal style. Especially when Ben was "opposed/reluctant" about her releasing God Bless America because it has a controversial title. That doesn't make sense though because the song has a good meaning. Also it seems like she had trouble with her label deciding if When the World Was At War, We Kept Dancing would be on the album because of its slow and sad nature. I'm not saying it's a bad thing for her to be happy, but it really makes me cringe when she says she's never sad anymore. We all know as humans, we have to have our days where we feel a little bit off.

Today has been a real good day.

- We find out Woodstock isn't on the album

- We get 2 song titles, one of them being solid

- We get this pussy shaking pageant queen vibed shoot from the one and only David LaChapelle

The more I think about it the more likely WTWWAWWKD will be on the album imo?

Well, I have a song that’s quite aware about the collective worry, about whether this is the end of an era. It’s called “When the world was at war we kept dancing.” But I actually went back and forth about keeping it on the record, because I didn’t want it there if it would make people feel worse instead of better.

^ She says "I have" why would she say that if she decided to take it off the final track list? I think she's just saying she had doubts about keeping it there because it was a dark song? The only reason she mentions thinking of removing it is, as she says, she "didn't want it there if it would make people feel worse"? It's clear with this album she's wanting to send out love and positive energy with her work so she was concerned if this song would give a wrong message, that's the only reason she had doubts.

Why would she say "I have a song" about a song that isn't on the album? Why go into this amount of detail over a song she removed from her album?

Unless she put it as a bonus track :creep:
