I can see what you mean. I respect your opinion, but I politely disagree. 
I think it can mean so many things - her mind is sharp, her mind is clear, beautiful, multi-faceted (as kik said). I think it just captures the whole image of Carmen, who she is. The word choice is perfect, imo. It paints a picture of a deceitful, smart, sad girl.

I feel like I have lost all interest I had in her... I still love her songs but hey I am literally her only fan and I've been supporting her since April 2013... four songs in two years. It's been more than four months since she posted the trailer of Daffodils of Paris. I don't want to wait anymore...

PC Music is nothing like the TR era music though. Like they literally don't sound alike at all. What would your definition of further be? As much as people would like to think, top 40 pop isn't Charli's strong suit, she can write a nice hook, but as evidenced by the Sucker era it doesn't seem to work out for her. I'd rather her continue to make the music she actually enjoys making rather than whatever Sucker was. Also it's not that Sucker wasn't cool enough, its that it was a messy, rushed, half-assed effort brought on by her label.

Maybe she just likes the word honeymoon sonically. She likes the mix of the words 'honey' and 'moon' because 'honey' reminds her of a sunset in the morning and 'moon' reminds her of the night and she thinks that's interesting because night and morning are kinda the opposite of each other. Also she really likes the word 'moon' because it reminds her of space and she loves space and finds it way more interesting than feminism and just life in general.

I think something in her chorus make the songs seem spirit-less. They are repetitive. They are begging to be a hit but they do not earn it.
 
I think she's adopted a structure that wasn't hers. All the songs in TFJ have a different structure which really made the songs feel brim full.

I actually love the Famous video (more for its message than for its content). It feels like Charli either has her head back on right or is headed in the right direction. The whole video is really there to do the Sucker era dirty as you can tell by the little ad section of the video. It subtly trashes stan culture (which in a matter of 3 years has gotten completely out of hand) and manages to shed some light on the Sucker era. I'm probably over analyzing it and I totally don't want to sound like one of those pop star stans who thinks up crazy wild theories about music videos, but the whole ad clip really felt to me like a comment on how her label turned an album that was supposed to be her rebelling against the music industry (the song Sucker is the one used in the ad) and made it into this watered down, commercial pop nightmare that was forced on her and possibly her fans. Again I'm probably over analyzing it, but thats definitely what I took away from the video. I'm really happy that the video shows that Charli is starting to push back against the era, which to me has been nothing but her label forcing her to do what they think will work (and it ends up being a mess)

imo the video looks like a commentary on capitalism. basically buy into sucker and buy all her shit!! because its so great!!! when in reality its just crap and shes rotten (literally) because she sold out and made an album only to try and get that $$$ maybe the whole sucker era is just this one big ironic joke, like some crazy ass performance art shit or maybe she just sold out

I kind of got that vibe too but isn't Charli shading herself big time then? It did kind of seem like maybe she's saying you're a sucker if you buy into it, especially when she had the "buy my album sucker!" Fake ad lol... 
And the whole thing where charli actually looked gross but on all her fan's phones she looked cute.

New to this site/thread but have been with Charli since 2012. Anyone else feel like the whole "this is me doing exactly what I want to do" thing about Sucker era is actually a lie? It seems like her label is trying to squeeze as much coin out of her since Fancy & Boom Clap hit and it never seems like Charli works well under pressure and she kind of has a dead look in her eyes when she talks about her music rather than how excited she was to talk about it and talk to fans. I remember meeting her back in 2013 and she was so nice and took time to meet and talk to each fan, and now she apparently doesn't even come out after shows anymore. Just doesn't feel like the Charli I've grown to love

Love the album-- bummed that it leaked so early, but I'm sure we're all still going to support her. Buying it when it comes out for sure! Early favorites are "Happy" "I'm A Ruin" "Blue" "Solitaire" and "Savages"

Well, you all can think whatever you want about me but I think Franco is being an opportunist whenever he mentions or links his name to Lana.
He craves the attention too much IMHO.
I am acquainted with his body of work since his early films and some of his directorial stuff is among my all time faves. I am not one to judge his talent. But I am over this Lana/Franco intellectual masturbation and ego feeding.
I don't need Franco to explain Lana to me. I love and respect Lana and have a particular view regarding her creative endeavours and aesthetic choices.
Lana is a beautiful soul.
Feeling is understanding too. Art is subjective after all...
