Some general answers from past pages:

Pretty sure that technically nothing is stopping them from releasing Is This Happiness and Flipside on streaming anymore, next time Lana goes on a longer live chat, ask her for that. Speaking of which though, Flipside was never really considered for UV. It was recorded as a rough one day demo at Nightbird and they pretty much just decided to mix it and release like that. Good for us, cool song that would have been lost.

Rock Candy Sweet seems to just be a phrase Lana liked, it seems to be originally stemming from a song called Loved You Then Loved You Now she did with Jack, but later also used it in Watercolor Eyes, but one is not a rework of another or anything. Watercolor Eyes is a song that can be very much considered a BB outtake though, but I'm 99% sure it wasn't made yet when Lana announced the former Rock Candy Sweet album.

Patrick Warren recording and producing Fine China, Your Girl and YTH in a span of 5 hours after getting an email from lanadelreyteam3@gmail.co.uk

Is it true that the entire chorus of Your Girl is just sung by Patrick Warren and edited to sound like Lana, cause his acapella was incomplete?

@BlackoutZone Please don't feel obligated to answer this immediately (!!!), but I'm definitely curious about any information you may have on album visuals. We know she's notorious for scrapping music videos (thanks for the TNBAR tea!), and we've even received some peeks behind the curtain at how she creates her cover artwork (thinking chiefly of the unused Paradise Edition cover, as well as the NFR! alt cover mockup that leaked), so I'm really curious to know if any eras have interesting scrapped visuals/covers/videos/etc.

I love imagining these alternate universe versions of albums with diff tracklists/covers/titles... giving Burnt Norton teas

Impersonation is HUGE. Creating fake emails is easy. However, in more recent years the industry (especially mixers or mostly the artists themselves) have gained a better awareness of this. For example when a *someone tried to scam Rina Sawayama's photographer in 2017-18 and she tweeted about it. Another example is Mitch McCarthy the Carly/Melanie mixer, I believe legal action may have been taken after someone tried it with him

what’s surprised me today is learning how easily these songs can be obtained simply because of impersonation, granted idk how 111 got his hands on the invoice with the song titles on it in the first place, but idk you would think there would be more careful identification confirmation while working with an artist as big as lana who already had a notoriously huge leak history previously at the time. i’ve heard of impersonation being a way of getting unreleased material from collaborators in the past, but i honestly dismissed it because i didn’t believe industry names as established as patrick warren would fall for stuff like that  lowkey concerning

    "Hello Patrick,
It's me Lana. You produced my song Yes To Heaven, and I am emailing you to ask if you can send me a backup link to this song and all of our other work together.
    Sincerely, Lana"
    ^ does this look real?

Apparently the producer did that on his own! Lana had no involvement with that as far as we know.

Woah, this must be what LDR.FM felt like...  I live for this kind of information, and of my list of favorite artists, it's always been hardest to gain any kind of clarity with Lana. Huge huge limitless thanks to @BlackoutZone -- Nobel Prize incoming for creating new standards in ethical insider behavior

Respecting Lana more than ever for being so unbelievably prolific and more dedicated to her work than we ever even knew The way this bitch does nothing but write and record omfg

a very simple example of mixing is like, if a vocal track is too loud, turning it down so it doesn’t awkwardly stick out in the song. more intricately though it’s EQing stuff so there’s not any weird frequencies, compression so if a singer is singing quietly at one part and the belting in another it doesn’t kill your ear drums, comping vocal tracks and using the best parts from multiple takes, etc etc it can get very tedious and redundant and annoying 😭 mixing engineers deserve as much credit as producers tbh
