You don't even deserve to be on a Lana fanpage putting meghan trashnor and lana in the same sentence and even making her out to be better than lana when shes not in any way.

I love Lana. AKA, Born To Die, and Ultraviolence are my favorite albums.
 
I'm not expecting her to sell millions of records. I'm also not expecting her to remake Born To Die over and over like some of the more chart-obsessed members are (or Ultraviolence).
 
I'd appreciate it if she put more effort in though. While fans aren't entitled to anything, it's a pretty big "fuck you" to the people who made her rich and famous that she doesn't seem to do anything.

On the issue of songs flopping:
 
Tbh, I don't understand chart fixation for singles. If you look at spotify rankings for various artists now (which change frequently, I would guess on the basis of release activity), LDR is 83, Lorde is 70, Lady Gaga is 76 (and the monthly listener counts, which I'm taking to be the basis of the ranking, range from 12.2 meg - 13.4 meg).  Katy Perry is 12 and Ed Sheeran is 1st in the world. LDR is substantially better ranked than Grimes and Marina (who aren't even ranked), but also ranked better than Florence and the Machine, Melanie Martinez, and Halsey (who are ranked). And while it's true Lorde is doing better than LDR, she's also working harder to do so. My point is that while a single song's charting performance may be "flopping" relative to some existence on a chart, they still cause charting in public consciousness in a very important sense (i.e., streams = money, and not necessarily from the newest single). 
 
What would LDR's ranking would be if her leaks/unreleased were out there (in well-produced form) as well as her suppressed AKA album, along with all released albums (i.e., the leaks out there with "all other things equal")? I don't know, but I bemoan the fact that she has great songs that are unreleased, which are not redundant with her released work. It's as if the full range of the artist is submerged or invisible to the GP, and that's depressing to me. That is also why I'm very much hoping BAR/Architecture (which I've been avoiding) won't be consigned to limbo and is the next formal release.

I'm trynna avoid listening to love because I feel like I'm going to get bored of it quick and I want to listen to it w the context of the album

One cliche title per era is fine I cant handle two

1. I don't really like Summertime Sadness video. I usually don't mind the vintage, instagram filters she puts out there, but I think she abused in that video. I still like a few parts tho.
 
2. I really love Honeymoon video, even tho nothing really happens there lol.

I love the ultraviolence video. In fact I think every home made music video Lana has ever released is absolutely gorgeous and wish she would do more of them.

I agree with you on Yayo. Paradise version sounds like a million dollars.

BAR is a good song, but it'd be a damn shame if it was used as a promo single... People that aren't fans like us will just hear it and think "WOW another depressing lana song about a guy. skip".. it wouldn't bring in any new fans and it'd just give non-fans more of a reason to find her depressing. just my opinion

Am I the only one that hopes the next single is something other than BAR even though it definitely is  :eek: BAR is amazing, don't get me wrong but 1) I want something new and 2) like someone else said, it would be a slap in the face to the leakers if she didn't release it next. I just hate that they have a gun to Lana's head like this. They leaked Love so it got rush released and now BAR...really........ 

I'd be ok with that tbh, it means more things we haven't heard + a slap in the face to leakers.  It's a great song too tho, don't get me wrong.

I wouldn't say that. I heard WC on different radio stations unexpectedly (it deserves even more attention). Plus it was the most exciting single so far. Love was great, but the song doesn't compare to WC tbh.

Honeymoon was her summer record for me... don't know why.
Every song in my head is a specific summer recordation/visualization. For example, I picture Salvatore as a skate park at Venice Beach, eating vanilla ice cream... Like this.
 
Which contrasts with Ultra, because it's a very dark and nighttime record in my head... Probably ynesthesia stuff
 
Love and BAR gave me that nighttime feeling again. Those two reminded me driving wild at midnight in a lonely road

yeah a 31 year old woman whos been in the music industry since 2005 would name her possibly-last-album after some 16 year old twink who leaked her songs for attention on a forum. am i right or am i right

imo "All For Fame" would've been a perfect name for the song

I spent several months thinking Best American Record was beyond ugly and now that it's called Architecture all I want is BAR back

Well this means the album name won't be Best American Record

Best american record was so iconic though hoping this is a placeholder title kinda like how love was registered as Young In Love
