UGH. Every time I listen to the second half of LFL, I hear BPBP and think "this is the best song ever and it's going to be historically iconic years from now" and then TNC comes on and I think "this song is beautiful and its the best track on the album" and then I listen to Heroin and think "this is the best track ever it's such a surreal, visceral depiction of the human condition" and then by the time I listen to Change and Get Free I'm just EXHAUSTED from listening to such good music. what a queen. 

I think it was in the long one with Pitchfork. She said that she has about 700 song- and lyrics-ideas on her iphone.

Ok, so there will be a tribute show to Leonard Cohen in Montréal on Nov. 6th. Lana will be part of it along with Sting and other great artists (I love Patrick Watson!)
 
I wonder how she anticipates it. Lana doing a show with a bunch of other artists, I wouldn't have believed it 3 months ago. For a fraction of second I thought it was a joke. I'm so proud of her! There will only be one tribute show and the audience size will be 15k, that's gonna be a memorable night with a great vibe, I can already feel the love.

Lana, Feist, Elvis Costello, Sting and more will all be performing at "Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen", a concert to honor Leonard Cohen a year after his death. It will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, where Lana has previously performed twice.

i love both carmen and freak ... the first is so sad and dark, it's both appropriate and shocking to sing like that about a young girl 
 
freak has a dope instrumental, and the message isn't that different from "come and take a walk on the wild side, let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain" which is yes - cliché, but it's still interesting. If I squint, all of HM could be about her relationship with music, with freak being about her being tempted to go to hollywood, california, let loose and embrace her art/music (it's reaching but my brain does little gymnastics like that   )

I really hope she doesn't consult Max Martin again. He just makes things sound generic.

i still think she shouldn't have asked max martin for input regarding the lfl song if the original version was more touching and i would love to hear the more heavy version of 13 beaches with the horror themed strings. (and cherry too could have used more of that treatment, it has a fascinating creepy sound i would have liked to be exacerbated  ​ ) 

yall just imagine a dark/horror themed album and david lynch as a director of all the music videos or a short film

Also, Lynch is a huge music fan so they can hang around more and he can influence the direction for LDR6 and we will get a beautiful mystical record

i really really love how deliciously mature she looks in this video, already in Love she looked so voluptuous and wise in an unearthly way but the BAR WM mv has her looking like a godess   
 
you go Lana, i really think that the grounds in which she stands rn allow her to pen more mature and heavy lyrics so, if Heroin, F, Love, Architecture, Yosemite and RBFY are the direction she's going for i'm all for it. Themes of how things are and how things should be. I hope she makes an EP to close her journey of LfL or makes a more ambitious personal project for LDR6. As far as the video goes, I'll wait if she announces another one or she works her way though a new thing. I see her as having a very independent artistical mind so, jumping through conclusions, she probably didn't like how her label interfered with her UV mv and the whole debacle about the production with Dan Auerbach. I'm projecting but, I see why she would have a lull in terms of visual artistry. Also reading all these 2011/2014 think-piece writers wannabe and their botched up analysis and criticism of Lana's projects I'd be angry in a "you don't deserve me and my work" kind of way. I'd make iphone videos as a FU statement tbh ... And Lana has been releasing a lot: even artists who have their songs written and composed for them don't produce as much every single year. She's great in my books, now more than ever and even the classical artists of the past who stood the test of time weren't on their A grade in all instances. Lana still stands out because people are still concerned about her past work, all her previous albums and even her leaked/unreleased work is relevant to this day and she's unique and cohesive enough to justify why a lot of new wave artists look up to her. 
 
I don't know why I wrote a whole brick to say that I love lana so much, anyway i'm sure the best is yet to come and she looks damn fine in the video. 

Even if I agree with yall, I love the video.

The visuals are beautiful, I love the very-slow life ambiance, the cut is good, especially in the second part, and the jazzy music is my thing.

Guess I'm the only one who is happy we're getting a video for White Mustang because it's my favourite song off the album
