'mean Henry, come on 

Yikes the ending was awful. The show was finally improving a little with Jocelyn kicking him out and proving she had the upper hand, but then at the end they were like nvm Jocelyn & Tedros 4 lyfe. What a terrible show, so much wasted potential. I hope the original scripts leak, I would love to see what the show was meant to be. With that ending, this definitely does not need a second season.

I mean, Lasso, come on...

I see what you mean but I honestly wouldn't worry about that. Another artist tackling country maybe, but Lana is a musical genius and feels very connected to classic artists. I think she's definitely going to do the genre justice. 
 
I don't expect this album to reinvent the wheel, but I think she's going to do something really strong and universally beloved.

My delusional narrative:
 
Lasso will tell the story of a young woman trying to make her way to Nashville with dreams of finding love and becoming a country singer. She will come across a wide variety of seedy characters and disappointing men (Henry, I'm looking at you. Hey blue baby, you too) who try to lasso her into their orbits, but she always escapes with the last laugh. Three quarters through the album she starts to wonder if she's ever going to get there, and rants about the things she's seen (the serial killers, the prostitute pickups, the pantyhose thrillers ) The song serves as a release and a reset hence the sonic switchup, and afterwards she realizes that she must be stupid for being so happy despite it all and carries on her way, where she finally reaches Nashville and performs her showstopping duet with the legend Dolly Parton and finally makes it as a singer. The prettiest girl in country music after all, she's the one with all the power, the one holding the lasso in the end 

I'm fine with the letting the haters sit this era out 

He’s used his last name to promote vaccine disinformation for decades, and was a leading voice of the scam study that linked vaccines to autism. That on top of his more recent anti-covid vaccine escapades is proof within itself he is inept to lead the world’s biggest health programs. On top of that, he’s batshit insane (look up RFK bear).
 
His Wikipedia page has so much info on his vaccine denialism that it’s enough to have its own Wikipedia page.
 
I don’t want some unhinged conspiracy theorist running our health industry. I want a real doctor not someone who grifts for alternative medicine on top of his racist and homophobic methodologies 

I probably shouldn't be so optimistic given her track record with dates, but I'm hopeful that it's actually coming in September. I suspect they are putting the final touches on the album right now and she's really excited about it, so it's hard for her not to mention it this week as she's surrounded by industry peers with the Grammys lead up.

Sorry but Trump is not some quirky old man wanting to win a board game and then bring peace for his grandkids. He is an evil, egomaniacal moron and could not care less about the destruction he causes. He's unhinged and surrounded by repugnant people who will work together to cause harm to the underprivileged and line their own pockets with money and power. Whether or not they will be successful, time will tell, but some people really need to wake up to the reality of the situation. When people tell you exactly who they are, believe them. Trump is without a doubt a vile piece of shit, and he is not afraid to show it. The fact that half the country chose this person to lead them is so beyond bleak and depressing, and America will be judged by the world for decades to come because of it.
 

 
 

I love ambient instrumentals in general, but we need something more unique than droning sounds. I need a dark vision behind the ambience, which I trust we will get from her!
 
It's definitely good for people to adjust their expectations because this will not be similar to Preacher's Daughter at all

I love the title Lasso, it's perfect to me. Simple, evocative, country, and a lasso is used to catch people and pull them in just like Lana's going to do to us once again  I see a future classic on the horizon

Don’t get me wrong I love ambient music! I listen to it frequently. I just love her voice and melodies so I’m hoping it’s at least a 50/50 split. If we get lots of Punish vibes I’ll be more than happy. I’ve never felt particularly compelled by the ambient stuff she has uploaded, but maybe that’s because they’ve never been on an official release and I didn’t give it a fair try. 
 
And of course she can put out whatever kind of music she is writing and feels passionate about.
