Yes, living in the Southern hemisphere, Lana's albums are released in opposite seasons. Ultraviolence will therefore always be a mostly winter album for me, and Honeymoon a spring album. But that's also heavily impacted by me listening to them on repeat at the times they were released.
But when she sings about July, for example, I'm not going to think of our winters here because it's much more obvious in her lyrics. It's just an experience I don't have (July being summer, and therefore being a big celebratory time to be outside). so I don't really relate a lot of her lyrics to my own life, like all the locations she mentions too. It's just imaginary to me

She should have done more with the rock sound in this Better Than That demo.

Does living anywhere else than America, or possibly even more so if you’re in America, or just environmentally impact how you listen to Lana’s music?

I don't even consider ADIAML even alternative. It's pop for me. It's like pop with electro and rock elements.

Omg yes, imagine her doing metal pop. Give me a female rage concept, drag me to the mud. 
 
Yeah, jazz/blues would suit her voice so much. Surprises me she hasn't really done anything like it before.

it’s a nice concept for her but at this point i just… have such little faith in her artistically that i feel like she should just stick to what she knows  
 
taylor and lana i feel like could do anything they want just because their songwriting is so incredibly strong but… marina does not have that luxury i fear

I'd like to hear her trying out jazz and blues too, I adoooooore the saxophones in Rootless

I understand why people want her old sound back but I really want a new shift in her sound, something 360° really, like what Taylor did with Folklore or even Lana with Ultraviolence, something that's really different from their previous records 

honestly if I was her I would rebrand again.. has she got anything to lose? She should've just gone by Marina Diamandis to begin with, it's such a unique and pretty name and sets her apart.. that is if she really feels like she outgrew Marina & The Diamonds completely
 
as for her music, Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land was amazing sonically, perhaps one or two less ballads would've helped it, what she really has to tone down are the lyrics.. I haven't heard a song similar to New America before, it's got a Bond-esque vibe, but then you hear the lyrics  ADIAML was a step in the right direction sonically but lyrically she hit an all time low, I'd rather have L+F lyrics with ADIAML production if she just can't get it right like she did for her first 3 albums

then i remember that when someone asked for a rock album…. she replied and said that her next album (adiaml) would be rock… which….. ummm… 😭
