I'm gonna be honest, I'm so done with this L+F era. I can't even listen to any of the new songs anymore. I'm ready for something new already.

L+F truly aged like milk. The only song I use still is HH. I really hope she can turn things around

Going the collab route huh? Whose froot is familiar now?

    ehh eh x c x - MARINA !

Yknow I would personally LOVE for Charli & Marina to collab again! Have we all forgotten the iconic 2013 GEM Just Desserts??? That song was so ahead of its time.

I have mixed feelings about this season.

I definitely feel like episode 5 kinda made me pretty disappointed because the supernatural elements are too much like a Murder House/Hotel imitation. I don't know how the story can progress with Xavier, Ray and Montana as ghosts. It's pretty obvious they'll resort to killing people in the camp, which is pretty basic and boring in itself if that's all they're going to do until the season is over. Hopefully not, though.
As for Brooke, she will now most likely being thrown in prison, and I expect we'll get another backstory of hers. But to be honest I don't care for Brooke's character that much to fully invest myself into caring about what eventually happens to her so it could be a snooze-fest. I do hope we see Trevor and Chef Bertie again. They were the best characters this season yet as Ryan LOVES to do, he kills them off.

But with all the negativity aside, I have genuinely enjoyed this season before episode 5. I do feel like it was more of a horror comedy than serious horror, but I can't really complain because I got a good chuckle out of some scenes, and that I can appreciate. Every episode left me on the edge of my seat, and I enjoyed conjuring up some theories with my AHS mutuals on Twitter.. The promo art was fantastic to begin with, the soundtrack in the season has been fun, and the overall tone was 80's accurate.

I just hope something becomes of the ghosts at camp redwood. On the plus side, Lily Rabe and Dylan McDermott are returning for episode 6, so this should be good!

OK guys I take everything back, I think I was trying to view everything through Cody-colored glasses but I have to admit now this season is so so SO bad and reductive and predictable and the writers are making a damn mess out of everything and everyone. I can't get over how poorly everything is paced, like did they get some new writers who've never written anything before???

I'm happy to eat my words if indeed something miraculous happens but we've just crossed the notorious halfway point where everything gets wiggity whack so who knows.

So true though. She's great in roles like Madison or Chanel, but her acting in 1984's giving me school play vibes.

This season is fun but that's just about it...I feel like it's one of the weakest seasons, but then again we've got 6 more eps so we'll see where it goes before I get all judge-y. The last episode was fun but so over-the-top that it makes all the actors look unskilled. It's doing my man Cody a disservice. I wonder if that's why he hasn't been promoting it like other co-stars have, lol.

And I have a love-hate relationship with Emma, I don't think she can act unless she's being a bitch, because she's a bitch IRL haha (but I love her fashion). I can't buy her as a damsel in distress like she is in 1984.

The Blackest Day is no doubt about him. "I don't really wanna break up we got it goin on. It's what you gathered from my talk but you were wrong" relating to that interview thing where it was indicated that they separated but actually hadn't.

I thought Terrance Loves You too mostly because "I still get trashed when I hear your tunes".

I hope he shared some info about "Psychedelic Soup", his followup to "Cold Coffee". Him going dark on his art would actually be a loss to the culture.

I can see him being extremely bummed about UV, given Brooklyn Baby has a soundalike musician singing the male part at the end of that song (Seth Kaufman, everyone was fooled by this initially and thought it was Barrie). So UV is really the beginning of the end for them. I also remember Barrie praising UV ("UV is ultragood"), shortly before the infamous "It's not over" TMZ interview. If I had to guess as to why they broke up, I would *guess* that she felt his relationship to alcohol was too dangerous for her. The "liquor off the top shelf" line in California sort of supports this idea, which I originally got from thinking Barrie's instagram (at about the time of their public breakup) had a lot of alcohol imagery in it (could have been a cause or could have been an effect). Other than Black Beauty and Brooklyn Baby, I don't think any of the songs of UV pertain to Barrie. With the possible exception of The Blackest Day (he's sort of associated to the word "black"), I don't see any of the HM songs to be about Barrie.

Best since BTD? What's his problem with Ultraviolence and Honeymoon? Can't stand listening to what they made together or the emotion in her lyrics from the pain he caused her or?

So this article came out yesterday (please tell me if there's a thread for articles, I just couldn't find one)

    http://www.idolator.com/7655909/lana-del-rey-american-dream-trump

It's about how listening to her music can help us get through Trump being president. Some of its really interesting but some really corny too.

ONE PART that I am just so confused at is where the writer thought some lyrics of National Anthem were about her giving the man a blowjob on the way up to the Hamptons.

"He says to be cool but idk how yet, wind in my hair, hand on the back of my neck"

    Like what!?

And they thought "I said can we party later on, he said yes, yes, yes" was him not even hearing her cause he was orgasming.

Am I the only one who thinks those lyrics are taken WAY out of context?

Can someone else read the article and see what they think?

I'm more worried about when she's gonna do her hair as classy again and wear a cute short dress that isn't white and lacy.
Those heels are so fucking nice tho

I wish she went into it more. Shed be the only person that could get me interested in lifting.
But the first thought that came to my head was the daily workout routine that Marilyn Monroe did, which I don't believe was powerlifting but I wouldn't be surprised if that gave her the inspiration

LFL hate is so interesting to me cause there are a lot of people who dislike this album but still like a couple of songs, but those couple of songs are always different depending on the person, there aren't like a few set songs that are universally liked by everyone (other than Heroin). The songs that they think are good are disliked by the next peson who doesn't like LFL. I honestly love LFL, the only thing that I dislike about it is that it had way more potential if she kept that 60s witch in space theme going for all of the album.
