What if what we know as For K really is called only Drive By and For K Part 1 is yet to be discovered & it's a song describing who the fuck K actually was 

Doesn't For K, pt. 2 on ... AKA Lizzy Grant support the idea that For K,  pt. 1 is a real title (or real title change)? I haven't heard the non-overlapping content, but would those who have say the songs left out of Sirens were relatively weaker?
 
Just treating everything as historical events and leaving everything alone within its respective event (option 3), at least preserves info so it can be revisited later. It's also the least painful. People must have DM'd LDR before on this, so I would assume a history of not responding on this topic on her part?
 
I'm hoping "May Jailer.... Sirens" is a real title (not fan created) as it seems very LDR to me (i.e., the colliding worlds idea on the double meaning of Sirens, with "Jailer" at least having a relation to the cop meaning of sirens).

Good question. I personally think so. She definitely had an early album that she's referred to a few times in interviews, and we've always just assumed that it's Sirens. I think the fact that Sirens was actually distributed (to the teamhellions guy, people at her shows, people on MySpace who discussed it), whereas these apparently weren't indicates that it's the final result, consisting of a collection of her favorite songs plus 5 new ones. Also going from 2005 with these albums to 2006 with Sirens...

Couldn't disagree more. The purist would leave things as they are since we don't actually know how Lana intended them to be released. Absent some other information, the best default assumption is that they were arranged the way they came to us. People can arrange their personal collections however they see fit, but honestly I think my suggestion for how they should be organized on the forum is most neutral.

I'm keeping everything the same. Duplicates, whatever.
But then this makes me feel like I have to get Kill Kill EP and Lana Del Rey EP.

Keeping Sirens as is, but changing the titles to be Peace (All You Need), Dear Elliot (Westbound), etc.

I'm gonna leave Sirens as it is and then have the EPs with just the songs that aren't from the album in them. Kind of pointless to change the song titles in my opinion, I could never start calling "Find My Own Way" as "Move" just because it leaked like that now...

Where's the option for none of the above? I fucking hate both of these options. They're terrible. I'm mostly with @@lola on this: 

Even though most of the existing titles are fanmade, I don't think we should completely discard the titles that everyone knows them by unless some decent receipts for these new titles being the real titles are put forward. (How do we know they're not made up?) However, I wouldn't be opposed to renaming the thread for "For K" to "For K/Drive By" and listing it as "For K" under Sirens and as "Drive By" under From the End in the "All Lyrics Thread". 
But I see no reason to not treat these as three separate albums that just happen to have some overlap.
 

The idea of Sirens not being a real album is purely speculative. There's no evidence for this. There is pretty good provenance for it being real.

well he says he bought it in 2006 or 2007 here and he first mentioned it in january. it's not that unusual to re-use songs especially if she didn't release from the end and quiet now. or maybe she compiled some songs she had for some people who wanted to hear her music or something.

But wasn't there some guy with a CD or something, or am I going insane.

I'm going to keep all albums/EPs seperate and not change track listings since I'm pretty sure they're all legit but I think I'm going to correct the Sirens track names.

I don't like the fact that she tries so hard to be elusive about her past discography, she's missing out on a big money making trick by doing that.
 
I'm not trying to sound mean at all, but has Lana got some sort of mental er condition? I'm not saying she's 'special' or anything at all, but it's just I have a few and she seems to have a lot of the same kind of things I do...and I'm not being mean at all - I just don't know how to phrase it. Because it sounds like she has really bad anxiety which I have, and I know what she means with the whole just falling down from it and everything.

to me, lizzy is somebody who has had a lot of difficulties in her life and as somebody else said, because she went to boarding school at a young age, she is still probably always seeking a home and security. lizzy knows what it's like to not have security, and to lose people in her life and she knows that nothing lasts forever. i think she's a vulnerable, but a very sweet lady who wouldn't want people to suffer the same way she has. i think she goes through phases and different looks because she has always been lacking something in her life and because of the way she dealt with alcohol dependance, she probably creates stage personas to make up for that loss. i totally get it, it's nice to reinvent yourself sometimes and try something new, it helps to deal with all the problems you have. i love the fact that she's so mysterious and not always in the news, that really pleases me. she comes across as a very genuine and kindhearted person. lizzy is such an inspiration to me and i really hope i can see her next month. i've gone off tangent, but she's been through so much, is it any wonder she is always searching?
