Everyone who says they are a feminists in this forum, I advise you to read the iconic and everlasting, "The Feminine Mystique" which came out during the crux of the second (and highly important) wave of feminism. And the last wave that was beneficial to women in America. Third wave feminism is a joke. Radicalized feminazi's have taken over. There is still a few good feminists left who are fighting the good fight. I am not a feminist, if it was prior to 2010's I would have proudly said I am, where I stand I'm a firm equalists. So that brings me to Azealia Banks' twitter rant pertaining to Lana yesterday. Hate her or not she does have a point. Alot of white female artist now are clinging to this trend of being a feminists because why? IT SELLS. It peaks interest. Do you honestly think Lorde, Taylor Swift, or Katy perry care about sex slaves in Bangladesh? Female genital mutilation in parts of Africa? Trans women being murdered everyday just for being trans? No. They exploit it, and use it for profit. I can go on and on, but the need for feminism for white females in America is virtually useless now. White women feminism is cancer.

I think thats the problem with HM. People don't actually appreciate the fact it perfectly did what it set out to do, not what was expected of it in relation to BTD and UV.

The sound during her BBC gig was jacked, ruined the show. Instruments were way tol loud, her voice mic was in and out.....its a mess.

I bet she loves it. When she's 60 sipping drinks on the patio she'll be listening to Honeymoon only on and on. She posted numerous things about how much she loves it. But then some twinks comes, calls it Honeysnooze and she can't perform 6 minute instrumentally beautiful songs because half of the crowd would literally fall asleep.
 
Such a waste. Imagine her flawless vocals like those delivered on Endless Summer Tour. These high notes deserve some shows.

Cherry is nowhere near being close to the notion the lyrics on UV or BTD had. The " I fall to pieces" almost feels reductive in a way.
 
She has obviously changed with HM. Step by step, she is leaving the destructive self behind. 
 
If you understand anything about Lana Del Rey as an artist, you should have noticed that BTD was an euphoric look back at a doomed relationship. She celebrated the love that was not good for her.
 
On UV she has portrayed the man that was in her life entirely different than on BTD. He was violent, old, quite pathetic. And she closed the album with TOW realising that she will stay alone if she choses to be the other woman.
She actually reflected on what was bad for her and now she is happy, maybe because she was able to sing that.
 
Now Lana Del Rey wants kids and a family.
 
A quick look at the lyrics of HBTB already tells you that she has changed gradually. And on LFL she clearly has a different story to tell. Maybe Cherry is the only tiny bone she will throw at the damaged part of her audience.

Although I do find Ben's post badly worded, he has a point.
Why do we care about Lana's promo?
I know it is nice for us to see our good sis climb the charts, but overall it is all about us enjoying her music personally. I have always thought that Lana wanted to stay out of the spotlight, and therefore it makes sense that she doesn't want major promo.
 
Also we complain about lack of promo but really we have a lot? For example, the festivals, trailer, radio premiers and music videos. Yes it is not as much as other artists but like Ben said, Lana isn't fame hungry. In a way I feel like the way how Lana is promoting herself right now is all about her fans. For example, she tells us the release date on Twitter which her fans will see first. Coachella - Woodstock was released like a special surprise gift for her fans. Her trailer had a lot of references to her fans, as did the Love MV. Maybe she wants to keep the release low-key because it makes it more exclusive for her fans.
 
And honestly you all get so frustrated, when really music is meant to be cathartic. The album will come in time, and it is not healthy to get very obsessed over it. In the meantime, enjoy Lana's previous records and chill. Worse things could be happening
