Florida Kilos was not supposed to be on the album. It was made for a movie to be a soundtrack song but the plans fell through so in the end Lana just included it on her album. It is also Rob Grant's (her dad) favorite song from Ultraviolence (the album). edit: why did the site not add to this my previous post like it usually does. Maybe a mod can merge the two?

She reworked the song Melancholia into Ultraviolence in order to have a title track. She described the album before Dan Auberbach's contribution as: "folk songs" in an interview. Some members at the time commented that the guy prevented the second coming of Lizzy Grant, or at least an album that would have been more similar to AKA.

Her new single is rumored to be with that new writing duo who gave Good for you for Selena Gomez and Sorry for Justin Bieber. Maybe they also came up with a distinct, different sound for Brit? I expect this upcoming song to be something fresh.

The second speech is cringe but the first before the song starts playing is very nice imo. And you can't deny that it's very cinematic and pretty, although her hair while swinging on that rope really is kinda tacky I looks better in the actual video somehow

It depends, are you viewing it musically or commercially? Commercially, of course. It's sad because she could be huge if only she cared, I wish she promoted. The fact is, she has an amazing personality, I would love to see her more on Tv doing interviews and perform. She is just so good at it. Musically, I don't think so. While her sound is very different from the BTD era which was obviously her best, the music is still good. Sure it doesn't have amazing stuff in it like honoring lost love and a glamorous lifestyle anymore, but they are still great songs that I listen to every day

Maybe she felt nostalgic about the BTD era after it's anniversary or something However it is, I'm glad she recognized it's her magnum opus. She should go back to that image, style and sound.

This video was everything, I live She looked SO GOOD!!!! I would have preferred if it focused more on Lana herself and less on that guy who is just really in a desperate need for a good shave, but still the scenes with Lana in that dark house are just amazing. Amazing. I'm totally satisfied with this video. I'll just pretend the last 5 minutes don't exist. It's okay, I did the same with Carmen's video. That also has this weird footage with classical music over it, although only 1,5 minute of it there. IDK why Lana does that but whatever, the point is the video itself is great.
