at this point her lyricism or lack thereof is on par with halsey and lorde. listening to a taylor song post 2012 is a cringe fest 

Honestly was lowkey getting ready to stan her when she first started this era with all of the dark imagery and sounds but so far nothing after Look What You Made Me Do actually stayed in that vein. 
 
For me it's LWYMMD > RFI > CIWYWT > Gorg 
 
Her lyricism and aesthetic always seemed so dull and uninspired to me, like its so recyclable from every other song and image out there (let's not even start with how much she copies Lana with the whole "vintage" theme and even steals her melodies).

So much of this new stuff is just rehashed melodies from 1989. Its shaping up to be a catchy but very uninspired new album.

Gorgeous sounds like a crappier version of
Lana's teenage songs. It's just soo mediocre. Everything I've heard soo far from her is boring. I would like her to go more edgy. Maybe then she can grab my attention.

And after Honeymoon came out I decided to download it and I enjoyed the album cause it was soo much different from what I was listening to. It was slow and enchanting and captivating. That's how I became a fan of hers .

If BTD sales and streams increase, she will. It's quite likely she will be charting again next week. She's been charting for almost 6 years and has only been out of the charts twice

From the tiny clip I heard earlier today, it was kinda hard to tell because the crowd was super noisy but it didn't sound that different to me. The piano chords are still the same because Mr. Byron (or is it Mr. Thomas?) knows how to play them. Drums were the same too I think.
She sang a little bit different in the chorus though, like in harmonisation.
Edit: now that I'm playing it again I can see that drums, piano and keyboard were played for 13 beaches.

Halsey is a mess. She would do anything just to get more publicity.

Not a Marina stan but her music is not bad at all. Her songs are good and I like the way she combines good sound with beautiful lyrics. And actually I have to agree with you. I don't want collabs with terrible artists but Marina is not one of them.

Why are all of you soo mad when She gave you 4 albums with no collabs at al(if we don't add A.K.A). If that's what she wants to do then let it be. I am excited to hear a Marina collab even though I don't think that they're voices are not going to match.
