I agree I don't want any deadweight collabs that will only cheapen the album lana works best alone imo

I want a booklet explicating the process of recording, pictures and lyrics, a dvd w a documentary à la Five Foot Two, a lot of picture disks, a cassette boxset, a sticker pack, pins, etc... I'm a design student so of course it's dead important to me so as long as it's a well thought of, high quality designed product with emphasis on well thought of, I'll be happy. I love the UV boxset, I just think there are some things missing from it. Colour LPs are always nice as well, no matter how bad or ugly the design is

But I 1000000% believe the colour of the era is green. I really don't believe that if there are some colour LPs they will be any other colour than green.

Here's a few boxsets designs I love and would want to be explored

The issue with these examples is the difficulty of mass producing them I think?

Also say what you want about Miss Frangipane but the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom boxset was IMPECCABLE.

And I always go back to Father John Misty for boxsets

    As it sounds, title.

I know it's pretty early off, and we've only gotten Mariners Apartment Complex and Venice Bitch as a taste of the album, if it even is indicative. Though, i'm gonna go off by what she mentioned w/ a recent interview of the next record going by surf rock vibes, and some RHCP influences too.

If any of that's true and nothing changes til the top of next year, with the box set I'd love:

A groovy kind of color associated with the record, with pink, either a pastel malibu shade, or a nail polish-like magenta.
Orange, like a burnt orange, or with yellow, like a blend of it to make some sort of neon lime green, tinged a bit more towards the spectrum of yellow slightly.

The return of picture discs, for the main lead single(s), and a DVD of music videos too/ tour dvd w/ interviews

Of course, some beautiful photos, like from the UV box set.

and maybe some sort of charm, like a bracelet or necklace.

I was thinking of something like, a kind of bookmark or stickers, but that might be a different vein of products.

    So, ideas?

edit: All these ideas are great! Keep em coming!

Thank you Clampigirl for making this thread! I think this thread will be a very wholesome place!

I remember I just used to hate Lana. I used to be one of those who thought she was a spoiled girl who made depressing music. One time when she performed on The Voice UK, she came on to perform and I rolled my eyes and walked out the room. But about a year later, I was sitting in my English class (normally a very hectic, stressful class) and we were all listening to the radio. Video Games started playing, and even though I immediately knew it was Video Games by Lana Del Rey, I fell in love with it. The class all fell silent, and everything felt so peaceful and calm (not the usual atmosphere). In those 5 minutes, it was like everyone in the class just accepted each other as they were and no one had a care in the world. As soon as I got home, I bought BTD on iTunes! That moment of sitting in my English class and Lana coming on the radio will stay with me forever.

I've read people sharing some moments of their lives involving Lana's music in one way or another, but I don't think we've had a certain thread for that purpose only? Like, I'm sure I've read these memories in the pre-threads or so. I'd love to read yours, it can be anything, small or big, but if you have a special memory that you'll never forget and feel like sharing... this is the place!

One of my earliest memories when I just became a fan was me playing BTD-Paradise on Spotify in the living room, just to make sure if it was worth spending money on this album or not (never regretted doing it, for here I am now lol!) and I remember that dad really liked Ride. He was really impressed, that's one of my favorite memories of him. He loved the strings in it and the beat, I know he coudln't express himself in words (due to a condition that made him pass away a few years later), but the look in his eyes and his smile really showed it.
So soon after, I was waiting at the train station for my commuter train to arrive, reading through the BTD-Paradise booklet to read the lyrics. The air was pretty cold and my fingers were freezing, but I kept reading. I recall not remembering the melody for National Anthem as I read the lyrics lol (which is fair I guess since the lyrics in the booklet isn't exactly 100% the same as on the track).

Another memory I have was in sometime in fall 2014. I was heading to the metro station as I had finished uni classes for that day, I tried to hurry to get home as soon as I could, but then I just stopped as I heard Brooklyn Baby being played out loud in, what I think it was, one of the university's smaller buildings. The window was open and I just stood there outside, listening. Eventually I went down to the metro, I could have stayed there forever but we all need to get home lol. I was really surprised. Lana wasn't (isn't) that very big, and I was so curious to know who played Lana, haha. Maybe they loved her as much as I did.

    Ok, your turn!

It is similar, but it's not slowly building up. While WC has that guitar (or whatever it is near the end) all of a sudden, totally unexpected. That's what I need her to do again.

I understand a woman has every right to do whatever she wants, to me thats what feminism is. But i'm just not on board with the whole "acting more like a man to be equal" sort of thing, it's just annoying seing a woman repress her power like that. Men are fugly so why are so many women nowadays trying to be more like them?? there's nothing wrong with being feminine

    1. you need some dick because for some reason you're always uptight and have to be a downer on things. i think getting dick will calm you down a bit. well try to get dick, unless you're ugly and fat like @burgerking

    2. you call someone delusional when they're not attached to reality. kanye said trump is making america whole, which is a lie. america is completely divided. liberals hate conservatives and conservatives hate liberals. trump is making that divide bigger. he's always saying "they're not letting me, they, they, they, they, etc. etc." he isolating democrats and throwing red meat to conservatives. so lana has the right and is completely right in calling kanye delusional and egotistical for saying trump is making this country whole when the country is in a social hell hole.

    3. she didn't chose to associate with jared leto. they both had a thing with gucci and she had to be with him. rather than act pissed of on the carpet, she did what she had to do and that was just to try to make the best of the night.

what if she didn't know the other artists did bad things? but kanye west knows trump has done bad things, he's reminded DAILY

i also love how you're holding the president to the same standard as rappers and singers. it amuses me that you're comparing lana singing a song with an artist to kanye saying that the most powerful man is fixing america and making it whole when he's not.

    4. lana also doesn't have millions of people asking her the same question like 'why do you support trump after all the stupid shit he does' and the only answer they give is a stupid one and they just get roasted by millions of people.

did you watch the tmz kanye interview? the man didn't even know what he was saying and he was getting grilled by another person lmao
