Album is so genuine, even the tracks I like the least on first listenings grew on me (Slim, Don't Smile...)
Hopefully her next album is more filled with  Bed Chems (next single, can't wait for the video) and upbeat songs.

Pitchfork absolutely decimated her my goodness.  

The silver lining is that nobody can take the success of her first 3 albums and the absolute cultural reset that was The Sims 3 Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats away from her

How much do you guys trust what lustforlife said here? I know that they said some "stuff" 3 years ago that Beautiful is a surf rock song or something but as a lurker I do remember that they got the date for Arcadia release and Blue Banisters pre-orders right. I just wish she would have kept “lasso” to herself at that event at the beginning of the year. Like why even bring it up diva?? What did it have to do with anything that was going on that night, especially if it wasn’t ready? Imagine the peace on Lanaboards if she never mentioned it.

sucks that we have to wait for the dead of winter for this to be out tho. Of course it’s not that insane as far as rollouts go, but in this day and age it feels unnecessary. A month is all you need. Hype dies so fast these days unless the song is a major hit. 
 
Next year tho, with FKA in January and Gaga in February is gonna start so insane tho so that’s cute I guess

His songs for The Idol soundtrack are so fire. 🔥🔥🔥 Even though that show got a lot of hate, I enjoyed it. I feel like he and Lily Rose should do a whole album together. I also like how The Lure reminded me of Pink Floyd’s Shine On You Crazy Diamond…one of my all time faves.

Lots of strings that have a slightly creepy, very atmospheric effect (like the beginning of live Body Electric)  Experimental instrumentals with country-blues-rock sounds (think The Greatest or VB, but a different genre)  Murky, swampy vibes that makes you imagine sitting by a bayou and cleaning a gun after you've just got revenge on your ex-lover (Oddly specific I know ) A spoken word intro/outro for a song like High by the Beach I'm really not worried about the lyrics because as long as Lana is the songwriter I trust her. She is the greatest songwriter of this century, so you know, no worries there  Even the albums which have much weaker, more repetitive lyrics like UV — don't attack me because it's still one of my top albums — are nevertheless fantastic
