  1. I can’t stop thinking about this. Never change, Lana 😭.
  2. July 20, 2023 - Lana “announces” upcoming tenth album while working a shift at a Waffle House in Florence, Alabama. Can’t think of a better way to start this era!
  3. Lmao Lana ☠️ She is so funny. But I love this for the reason that it’s further testament to two things about her: she is so humble and down to earth, and she really doesn’t give a fuck.
  4. I should've taken a fucking road-trip so I could be there...but she knew she had to turn it out all the way for us Canadian Lipsters
  5. Scary, strange, and sadly un-fazing given how much this has happened over the last 8 years. I’m glad nothing worse happened and this didn’t escalate to direct contact with Lana. Hoping the show goes well tomorrow.
  6. Topanga’s hot tonight, the city by the bay Has movie stars and liquor stores in soft decay The rumbling from distant shores sends me to sleep But the facts of life can sometimes make it hard to dream Life rocked me like Mötley
  7. Adding to the setlist discussion, I understand why they have chosen the songs (it seems they are trying to account for all her biggest hits while keeping a moderate mix between songs where the dancers can be incorporated and songs where Lana can shine alone AS WELL AS structure the whole show as a kind of theatrical narrative with the outfit changes) — but I think a setlist that’s still realistic yet also a bit more dynamic could be: 1. A&W 2. Young and Beautiful 3. Bartender 4. Chemtrails Over the Country Club 5. The Grants 6. Cherry 7. Pretty When You Cry 8. Ride 9. Born to Die 10. Blue Jeans 11. Norman Fucking Rockwell 12. Arcadia 13. Candy Necklace 14. Honeymoon 15. Ultraviolence 16. Thunder 17. Taco Truck x VB 18. Summertime Sadness 19. Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd 20. Video Games
  8. Every single look on this tour is just so beautiful and builds on each look from the previous show - I’m obsessedddd
  9. Reading all the coverage of this show (and reviews of Ocean Blvd in retrospect) really shows that Lana has achieved the status of one of the legends of all time - not just among the most dedicated fans, but among the general public as well. Whether or not people are a fan of the music, they now cannot deny her prowess and influence over culture. This period can really be heralded as a career peak!
  10. Lana DM Sean’s wife “Hey girly! You don’t know me but…” challenge
  11. Tonight’s look is probably my favourite of the tour by far along with Dublin - also keep seeing memes about the dancers popping ass while Lana sings her most emoting ballads onstage and I can’t look at them the same anymore
  12. Have fun everyone who’s going to the show! You’re witnessing hisherstory!

    Ayesha Erotica

Everything I know about this Ayesha Erotica singer I have somehow learned against my own will.
  14. Father John Misty, RIOPY, SYML, and Tommy Genesis all being at Hyde Park on the same day as Lana is too coincidental for them to not sing their songs together from Ocean Blvd - so I’m really hoping we get the live debuts of Let the Light in, Grandfather…, Paris, Texas, and Peppers! This will (hopefully) be a BIG show along the lines of the 2019 Hollywood Bowl show.
  15. Oof - good luck to you and anyone else going to both shows! Maybe you’ll run into Lana there LOL I remember she said she took the Eurostar from Paris when she did Lollapalooza in 2017, as she had that Brixton show in London the very next day. Excited for everyone going and for these next few shows!
  16. The video of her hitting the fan’s vape . I mean…you can’t help but love her. Loved today’s look too — she’s really turning out look after look for this tour
  17. Ugh 2023 has been her YEAR!! Glowing and radiant as ever <3
  18. Excited for everyone going today! Festivals are great, but it’s nice that Lana will probably get to do the show she’s been wanting to do without any cuts to the setlist, and finally with that “dramatic” two-minute outro she teased!
  19. This record is transformative, and I have really had the chance to sit with it for the last 3 months and absorb it completely. It touches upon her experiences both as a woman in her thirties AND as a star whose legacy is now being solidified to the point where you can look back at all her albums and revel in their grandeur, impact on culture, and contribution to her own life's narrative. The release of this one has made me revisit every other record and appreciate it for what it represented for Lana (and her listeners) at the time, but also see it as part of her history without any comparison to be made between the respective albums. I especially realized that this was the case when we saw Lana watch her entire career retrospective unfold in front her during the Ride monologue at Glastonbury. Her facial expressions and the crowd behind her while her entire career was showcased was so cinematic and impactful, but I digress – the point is that Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd represents so much more than just what is shared on the 16-track album. The real beauty of it is found by synthesizing what she states in each song and what she leaves unstated for us to read in between the lines.
  20. I think this is one of her best songs ever…it’s dramatic, it’s dark, it’s soulful. And the video adds so many more layers to it
  21. This slew of shows reminds me so much of the 2016 Festival Tour - what with there being such a change to the nature of the shows with new elements, similar to how she debuted Alex and Ash in 2016. I have been loving the inclusion of back-up vocalists and how theatrical it feels with the outfit change (which is such an embodiment of the Candy Necklace video, just brought to life on stage).
  22. Her hair, her outfit, her vocals…what an iconic show. Not being announced as a headliner initially, showing up late, and getting cut off early are simply part of the performance.
  23. Black Beauty - I remember someone on YouTube overlaid the song on clips of their home movies and footage from their wedding. It was so moving and really gave the song another story <3
  24. She’s so unintentionally funny, the way she had been posting normally for a few days before randomly deactivating the account. ☠️ Nonetheless - the Honeymoon account was a beautiful memorial of the album and it is too bad to see it gone after 8 years (alongside more recent updates on her life). But Lana’s always with us no matter what! <3
  25. Fishtail / Peppers I love how the act of braiding hair serves to capture two different moods in a relationship – as well as how she goes from "I wish I could skinny-dip inside your mind" in Fishtail, to "take a minute for myself, skinny-dip in my mind" in Peppers.
