not the twitter idiots saying she’s just trolling to be petty ??? anyways, to porove she’s not and she’s probably not lying like last time:

    - she never made an official announcement post on insta when she mentioned the september 5th date in qftc but this time SHE DID + she gave the title

    - zach dawes produced dealer, which she kept last minute BECAUSE she knew she’d release her angry rock magnum opus a few months after cocc

    - ben confirmed that she worked with zach on the cover album AND a second unknown album with “a personal title that reflects her last 18 months experiences" WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY ROCK CANDY SWEET omg

    - her keeping the cover album and dealer, both zach produced IS NOT A COINCIDENCE

    BOOKMARK THIS YALL

June 1st is probably like her dentist appointment she doesn’t want to forget so she announced the date just so her fans can constantly remind her about it

yes love song and how to disappear are sampled on WaH, which i personally think serves as a cute synopsis to NFR! in song form on her sister record, the mentions of instagram (livestream on tG), her adventures across namedropped areas around california and escaping the ashes thereof (NFR! cover + sorta fiily 'met you on the boulevard'), it's how i've come to process the song over the past week and it's definitely helped make it more palatable and i am deeply in love with it now

    "Summer, zizzling
Listening to jazz out on the lawn
Listening to white stripes, when they were white hot
Listening to rock all day long"

    this verse is a BEAUTY.

I‘m crying. Writing this up as I listen. It flows so perfectly, she put together a fantastic track order; no skips, perfect length. The most beautiful small sister an album (NFR) has seen. Lana's mind is truly an enigma, because there is no explanation for how she keeps coming up with such stunning melodies.
BOPS: Tulsa Jesus Freak, Wild At Heart, Dark But Just A Game, Dance Till We Die
In regards to possibly one of her best bridges (in DTWD): If the next record is indeed more country and sounds like this, I'm totally down for it. Omg it’s absolutely gorgeous! Her voice! The tempo! The instruments! Yes! YES!!
Heart-clenching beautiful: Not All Who Wander Are Lost, Yosemite
Yosemite especially is a career highlight. Sweet baby, it felt like she cleansed me of all my sins

Thoughts on White Dress‘ vocals, because I take any comparison to Stargirl Interlude serious af: Well that certainly wasn’t what I expected with „whale like noises“, but I‘ll take it. Her approach fits the song and makes it quite haunting. Also something we haven't heard her do before! Definitely not her saddest tho (Pawn Shop Blues and Fine China remain untouched)
All in all, she outdid herself and I am at awe at her progress as singer/songwriter. I have to say though, that „White Hot Forever“ would have fit as album title so much better. Sure, there are sometimes these sorrowful parts, but at it’s core this album is bright. Not only for all those hopeful lines:
no more candle in the wind just ‘cause you keep me believing You make me feel invincible I‘ll keep walking on the sunny side But also because of its folkiness and desert feeling: not in a yeehaw way, but a hot, succulents, dusty, foreign way. For COTCC it’s missing the glamour tbh
So in conclusion when Lana sings in The Greatest about burnout, this album is the cure. It gives me this feel of healing; like taking deep, deep breaths. And I personally haven’t felt this comforted since I‘ve heard Lonely. And while it's a Tolkien quote, I really needed someone to tell me Not all those who wander are lost.
I'll treat her forever to Denny's or whatever she's craving. She deserves it. In the end, it may be dark, but it's just a game

The men have always got away with it. She's been clowned for years, from the very beginning of her career ; and that was not even about the quality of her work, but about the "authenticity" of it and if she basically was to be allowed to display said work in public or not. So yeah, we've had 2 commendable years critic-wise, and certainly she's become a kind of hype object for this intellectual milieu of the Music Administrators of the World, which personally I also interpret as them producing some very overdue and long-winded sorry attempts at excuses. And so what ? And so what.

I really don't get it. I know much of us are still under lockdown, but you spend your evenings on a stan website for an artist you don't even like, antagonising everyone, acting up all smart because, you're not like the other girls, you like a real, real musician... I really hope you'd simply be a lonely high schooler looking for some online validation but your elocution makes me think otherwise. You're just a dreary thing to stare at on here. Not like even that annoying just sad because everybody sees through it but you... We just don't even really think anything of it but it's just sad - do something else with your pool of limited time on this sad, warming planet.

I’ve always floated around on LB for the past year but never made an account to talk about Lana and her music at all. I only made an account like a week ago, but I’m so glad I did because being able to interact with some of you on here has made this release that much better. I’m so happy chemtrails is finally here! This is what we’ve all been waiting for for so long. I cannot wait to play the album and soak it all in.

Taking no negative energy into post release. This is going to be one hell of a serve, to some this may be the album they've always dreamt she could make. To think of all the chaos (both fun on the boards and hectic in our worlds) that has finally gotten us here. In the end, the reviews never mattered. Just the fact that after so many of us were quite alone for so long this year, a dear friend is dropping by, reminiscing on older, easier times-and acknowledging that none of us can go back anymore. So find your friends, old and new, and take them with you on your journeys, small and large. That's her energy this new decade, and it couldn't come at a better time. Serve Queen.
