I don't even know what to say, this is terrifying and it saddens me to think about all the people who just lost a family member or a good friend that they will never see again due to someone believing that an act like this will prove something- but prove what exactly? They just wasted their own life and the lives of others those of which they don't even know, what is there to prove? It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
And personally, I am already paranoid enough as it is. I suppose the fact that death can come so easily by the hands of another person scares me the most, but the fact that guns are so easy to get to worsens it.

Now being called the #1 worst shooting in American history

A gunman (perhaps multiple) opened fire with what is believed to be an automatic weapon at Route 91 Harvest country music festival at Mandalay Bay Casino on the Las Vegas strip about 2 hours ago. The shooting began during Jason Aldean's performance. So far, 2 confirmed dead (some reports saying 20), 24 injured, 12 in critical condition. The Las Vegas airport was temporarily shut down & flights were being diverted.
Reports are saying the gunman has been shot by police in a room on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay hotel, from where he had been shooting.
 
Update: ~59 dead, ~527 injured.
Gunman was 64 year old white male Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, Nevada.
Paddock died from a self-inflected gunshot wound just as police entered the room.
17 guns were found in the hotel room from which he was shooting. He had been staying in the room for 4 days.
Paddock bought guns from local gun shop "Guns & Guitars" where all necessary background checks were completed.
More guns, ammunition, and explosives were found at Paddock's home.

I can just imagine how hard it was to let whoever she's singing about go...like. I can relate to putting off something for a week, or even a month..but damn. She gave this man an extra year of her time. Just to delay the inevitable.

Those are honestly the best lines in the whole album.   It's like realizing that everything you've tried to reach, all your goals, were not as you imagined them to be. You tried so hard to go there and when you did, you got disappointed and now you've finally accepted the facts.

catalonia's (like in belgium and northern italy) decision to be independent was also fueled by the difference in revenue from the rest of spain, something that apparently madrid takes advantage of without the catalans perceiving an appropriate trade off from the government. 
 
it's so disgraceful that the tensions have blown into proper violence, this could have been avoided and i can't see people not wanting to be independent now even though i don't really approve of the sentiment  

let's not forget the scrapped Brooklyn Baby MV bc Lou fucking died, or the yet to be seen PWYC

and now let's take a look at this era
 
went from mother, to witchy, to hippie, to princess on her birthday to.. uhm.. post workout running outfits !
 
BAR was scrapped and hamfisted into White Mustang, with a snippet of Get Free put in the end, so that song is probably dead in the water for a MV
 
Cherry deserves a MV, so does SB/GL only as a double feature imho; but if SB/GL were meant to get one then it's too late, n Lana better not try and pull a Swishx2 or Havana and push a song/mv months later than their release dates.
 
And Cherry was the single that never got to spread it's wings. It's undeniably one of the best true to heart Lana bops on the album, and prob her career i'd say. (doesn't mean it fits in with her Magnum Opus' )
 
Heroin and Get Free also 100% deserve one and Change would fit so well as a PWYC/Video Games style MV, (someone splice her IG stories of her singing it with the footage she pasted of roads and the flag and go from there) 
 
but comparing this era to HM.. i think we might just be done with videos we were spoiled BtD- Early UV, now we've been malnourished for three gotdamn years..Love was the rainbow in GF; a fucking illusion of better things to come

i'm good at faking signatures, i used to do that for my classmates but i can't even sign my name the same way every time i need to. i just do how i feel and it's different, i'm afraid to get shit for that actually. also there's a 2 years gap between the two albums but it'd be tragic if any artist would fake their signature  

I've had a shitty day today so I played Music To Watch Boys to during lunch break to keep my thoughts away. Then I played Ride on Youtube and I haven't heard the monologue for so long. I didn't look at the video. I just listened. It's so beautiful. Her voice was so soothing and you could hear emotions while she read. Her voice was like a mix of Lizzy Grant and Lana if that makes any sense, I know it probably hasn't changed but it did feel different compared to, say, Burnt Norton.
Anyway. I just listened and interpreted her words into my situation and just felt like things may not go as you hoped for all the time and if I somehow ruin this, there's always a second chance and something else I could do. Imagine just letting things go and start over, somewhere else and be happy. And doing whatever you want to do. Be free.
 
I know it's not realistic, but it did comfort me in a way.

I believe this is more like an opinion than a fact because I still feel like she still has that touch because she created a new set of songs that imo don't lack anything her previous works did but add a new flavor to some of them. There's a certain cohesiveness to the tone of all the songs on the album, they all give kind of a similar feeling when you listen to them. And I think the album would be very boring if the songs weren't so different from each other. The album keeps you entertained when it switches the mood/sound when Coachella comes which is basically the intermission of the album. I know the aesthetic is kind of all over the place with the space and hippy vibes but you have to see this album as a mosaic in order to understand it. I respect what you said but this is just how I feel

When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing is an absolute classic. Reminds me of those awfully jubilant Golden Age Hollywood films like The Philadelphia Story, His Girl Friday & Bringing Up Baby, all to some extent. The third half of the song, especially, is something quite brilliant.
