I just read 109 pages. First book of the year done. 
It was fascinating, especially the whole Paradise - Tropico - Ultraviolence saga that started it all. To imagine she was already penning stuff that still make sense 12 years later... she knew her future was bright. Always thought Tropico felt a little "off", even as a visual only. She already had National Anthem & Ride under her belt, Tropico feels quite amateur, but I can imagine they were rushing through the motions trying to work it out.
 
 
The Fine China \ Yes To Heaven \ Your Girl scalding tea was life changing for sure. I mean, we did know the files were messed with when they first leaked, but I guess it's still more official than just people hoarding stem packs and trying to make their own version lol. I was trying to articulate this on the YTH thread the other day that since it was common sense that V.1 and V.2 were considered stem edits, they might have been a product from the same original Rick demo and could be just different interpretations\elements mixed.

Why does You & Me kinda give me Dangerous Girl? It's that "give heaven a try, be young be wild ya ya ya" way she sings it that gives me DG chorus or something but slowed down.

i think it's kinda cute that patrick did the extra production on his own when he didn't had the full thing to share with the fake lana team, talk about commitment! however he's very gullible  i'm assuming he might be someone older and inexperienced with the internet to fall for these types of scams

It's really best to accept that every Lana x Rick song had tons of versions and we will never hear 95% of them

i really don’t understand why most artists don’t just share this information themselves, people really do genuinely care about it and it can extend the life of an album cycle drastically. like imagine an artist doing a little newsletter thing where they send an essay per month on how 1 song from the album came to be and attach pictures from making it, mention specific writing and recording dates, share downloads to a few demos, etc etc. i don’t know if they just don’t care to or don’t realize how many fans are interested in hearing about the creative process

Yes that's something that I personally do myself while sorting stuff in my library.
For example, Lana and Greg would always call MPG just "Money Power Glory", however the Dan demo that leaked was strictly called Money & Power (same with Fuck My Way) so I do have it saved as Money & Power (Demo) to keep it accurate. Keep in my though that sometimes title changes of that sort may just be done to ease communication. I'm sure that every demo/file/mention of Tunnel wasn't called "Did you know that there is a tunnel under ocean blvd v2", they would just do "Tunnel" or "Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard" etc. That doesn't have to mean the song was called that in its version, it was just faster to type it.

And no, the photo of her with the black gloves was a test shoot/wardrobe fitting for the V Magazine shoot by Steven Klein. The NFR mock-up was a rough layout idea Lana personally did herself using the photo that ended up as the Urban Outfitters edition.
 

The snippet that leaked is some 2018 rework of it that I have no idea about, probably produced by someone else? Apparently the file being sold on that source site was also mostly empty, but in reality its a full Rick produced song from LFL era

why would you even wish that on her? she doesn't need anguish in order to make a record and her next one will be indicative of that.

Btw about that, this was rather a fact than a personal opinion. It was a scruffy demo made in a day whilst there are many songs that were being worked on for months in 2016 and ended up being unused

Serene Queen being described as bottom shelf compared to other songs from that time… I fear for the other LFL outtakes cause Serene Queen’s truly one of her best songs 

But the destroying of LFL was a crime, Lana really ruined one of her opuses
