I hate how theoretical Sean's voice sounds. He doesn't sound natural at all. I really do like how current and in the moment Coachella sounds, and I would consider it a favorite if it had stayed an one off single. I think Lust For Life (the song) was changed from being a Bladerunner-esqe song to a generic pop track so it could get radio airtime in the states. I kind of feel the same about Summer Bummer, even though I think Groupie Love sounds more radio friendly and better over all. Also I feel like When the World Was at War was thrown on there so Lana wouldn't have dragged for staying apolitical. 
 
Saying all of this; it's not like LFL isn't filled to the brim with amazing songs. One bad track doesn't makes a bad album, or even make an album unimportant. So many influence artist have entire decades of bad music, and are still considered iconic. Heroin, Change, and Get Free are land markers in her career. White Mustang and Cherry are the best true blooded pop songs she's recorded since Kinda Outta Luck and You Can Be The Boss. Love is up there with Ride, Video Games, and Shades of Cool for my favorite singles. She collaborated with Stevie Nicks on this album; STEVIE NICKS. 
 
I really don't think Lana gets the credit she deserves from music publications or websites like rateyourmusic. She's something special.

The point of most cultural appropriation is white people trying to own diversity and culture, when they are the ones who took it away from the people actually OF that culture. Its trashy and gross when white people dress in native american cultural dress for coachella or a halloween party, for example, and everyone knows it.
A lot of the other things, however, are controversial. many people say 'its okay, just learn what its about before you wear it', while others say 'its wrong, just learn from it, and dont do it again' (like Lana has mostly done so far, she just let it go, like a person who can improve themselves, instead of claiming 'but its my aesthetic!!!'). You can't really tell what the response is gonna be, because it's all social and so complex.
I think people can just wear what they want, but then dont act all surprised like a victim if people get upset. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And nah, America just gets called out for it more, because Native American culture is probably the most appropriated. 
Sushi is an everyday food that came from Japan, so thats entirely different. Its not a cultural custom, cultural expectation, or part of any religious ritual. I get your point, but its not an accurate example, thats all

after the bridge in the blackest day, when she's first singing the chorus with a lot less instrumentation before it kicks back in, there are some absolutely GODLY background vocals i had never noticed before. if you listen with earphones and truly focus in on those vocals it makes you view the song in a totally new way. blackest day is now my favourite song from HM.

I never thought of the guy in TBD leaving her for another woman. When she says "under the spell of her weather" or whatever she is referencing herself in the third person? Only because she follows it with "I got you where I want you now", as is, on was her spell.

i kind of wonder if it's because of how Lana/Francesco's relationship and Lana/Barrie's relationships seemingly ....um.....overlapped?
 
Partially because he told a paparazzo that they were still together when she was publicly seeing Francesco? or something like that. My memory could be wrong, but I thought it may be a reference to her seeing a new guy before she'd officially broken up w/ her bf/fiancee of a few years. idk
