Everyday when I get home and there's nobody else in the house (except my cat and I think this is the reason why she's nearly deaf), I go in the bathroom where it's really echo-y and I sing on the top of my voice to the live version of Million Dollar Man. I've managed to get myself to believe I sound really cool, just like Lana but once I recorded myself just out of curiosity and... I don't want to talk about it 

That's a pretty bold statement, since (as far as I'm aware) she never discussed her views on Lolita, the book. We all know she has quite a few daddy issues, loves power & age play in relationships & is fascinated with the whole lolita aesthetic, so she probably just cherry picked the elements that fit those themes the best. That doesn't necessarily mean her understanding of the book doesn't go any deeper than that though.

I haven't bought any of her singles because what is the point when it's on the album, and when I hate remixes.. lol

i wasn't a member of ldr.fm, and it makes me sort of sad that i joined the boards so late (and during all the drama) but i guess better late than never, because i don't have much people around me irl that i can talk to about lana, and this place seems really nice.

I like this song cos the way she sings it but I rly don't get the lyrics, I guess its just lazy. like "you're so new at it" at what??? "throat like an angel" "the way you see through that shit" ..like how does any of this remind u of jfk, Lana????  (and lets give credit where credit is due ~ if anyone in relation 2 any of our past presidents has a throat like an angel, its monica lewinsky lbr)

I like the songs, but I just can't get into the album because of the acoustic guitar.

I really like the way she looks now, even if she had to have plastic surgeries (I don't mind that at all), Lana Del Rey is a lot prettier than the natural Lizzy Grant.

The album version of Dark Paradise is annoying and melodramatic.



I don't care that Lana has become a caricature of herself because I think she should do what she wants with her career, in terms of her writing style and all. If she wants to fit a certain ideal in her mind, go for it. I like both albums and I enjoy the diversity between them.



I don't care that she isn't Lizzy Grant anymore. Every artist is going to/needs to evolve at some point, for themselves.

I don't mind if Lana wants to get high, smoke, drink or w/e else. (Apparently she still does drugs, but I have no evidence, but idc either way.) The way I see it is, she's her own person and I know loads of people who do that sort of thing but I still love them. And anyway, she should live her life however she likes.

Not only is that unbelievably ugly, but so stupid too. That monologue was written by Lana, and is entirely about the events in HER life. Why would this person get this tattooed on them? Did their mother ever tell them that they had a "chameleon soul"?
 
I find it so so ridiculous to get something so personal to another person - something that has absolutely no significance to your own life - permanantly inked on your back for the rest of your life.
