I literally screamed when I saw the photo with Joan. Two of my absolute favorite musicians. I'm so happy! And Joan is slaying with the 'nasty woman' t-shirt!

    That's clearly not Abel though

Maybe you should wait for the actual song to come out

Yeah I'm sure, other people have pointed it out as well. It also makes a lot more sense that she'd write about this guy than Greg Kinnear

    Great thread!

She actually says Ray Gillen, not Greg Kinnear

^ Ray Luzier worked a lot with David Lee Roth (aka Diamond Dave), so my guess would be that she's just seeing them on tv during "heavy metal hour". She's mentioned being a fan of Roth before, so I guess it makes sense that she might be a fan of Luzier as well.

I'm stoked that she's been hanging out with Jonathan Wilson and Father John Misty lately, it's giving me (very false) hope for some Laurel Canyon psychedelic folk-rock

It looks like she's going 70's L.A Boho chic for this tour and I fucking love it. She looks so gorgeous and confident. Also the blonde hair really suits her so much hope she keeps it for awhile

Idk if anyone else would agree or disagree, but I think Lana should do psychedelic rock on her next record.

Could you imagine a Lana x Stevie Nicks collab?

Or a Lana x Flaming Lips album?

    Holy shit......

i'd love a modern re-imagining of a California Sound record, basically a mix of surf music, folk rock & space rock/psychedelia. so not completely unlike UV, now that i think about it...

Barker Ranch (last place the Manson Family lived before getting arrested) really reminds me of some of the footage from Freak. Not too far-fetched considering the vibe of the video...

    I want a country / country-inspired album, tbh

I listened to some other speeches from the group and multiple people used the phrase ".. and that was it, I was off to the races.." to describe losing control whilst drinking, to the point of black out.

Also, several of the male speakers jokingly mention cults in their speeches, kind of casually, in passing. It's not made clear why they even bring it up, they just do, and just as quickly they are off to another topic.

    Interesting group.
