Kasey is gorgeous but I can't listen to her music. I hate country music.

Her visual aesthetics are amazing though.

At this point, I just hope anything comes out. Poetry book, music, whatever...

I am (quietly) hopeful that she's gonna do something soon ...

She liked Ben's re-post of her poetry, Ben's post about BTD, and Ed's re-post of the Doin' Time snippet earlier so clearly they don't all hate each other as we theorised about 200 pages ago, and she's been posting on Twitter and IG a lot more. She tends to do the latter before she's going to announce something, so ...

    As I said ... I'm a fucking sucker

I love it. This cover is "Lanafied" in the best way.

I genuinely think some people are overreacting about the "drought". Lana already dropped many songs (some of them already on her top best) and snippets like Mariner's Appartment Complex, Venice Bitch, Happiness Is a Butterfly and more, performed a new "country song" and How To Disappear. Now a cover. All in a short amount of time. It's like people are never fully satisfied. It's the Honeymoon era where NOTHING literally happened. And remember when she started to be more active on social media during the Lust For Life era and people thought it was weird and "out of character"?
I guess the thing that produces discontentment is the lack of big productions. I'm sure if she released a nice video for Venice Bitch and promoted it properly, her fans would be way happier than with just a bunch of loose songs. It's the "unofficialness" of it all that doesn't result in any sort of excitement. But it would be unfair to say there has been a lack of content coming from her.

''Also just wanted to let you know I've written the most beautiful new songs. Can't wait to share more w u.''

''We have a collection of songs that I've sequenced and I really love.''

''In our first week I had two songs that I just though were maybe two of the best songs I've written.''

''I love it so much. I adore it. Love this album.''

''I am excited about this album.''

''It’s a really thoughtful album. It’s very pretty. I’m just happy it came out easily with no pressure.  It’s really important to work with somebody who says yes a lot and is open to more experimental sounds. I got lucky with him.''

I don’t think any of us genuinely hate her/ wish bad upon her. Yes, some of us are irritated and bitter a little bit and making lewd jokes to deal w the situation, but that doesnt mean we don’t all obviously stan Lana, love her work, and eagerly anticipate NFR

    1. Born to die - her most iconic songs are in this album. It has fillers, but I think it was the best debut that she could have. It has the best instrumentals too.
    2. Ultraviolence - it's her most cohesive work.
    3. Paradise - her best lyrics are here
    4. Honeymoon - deep, dark and instrospetic. Very visual and aesthetic pleasing
    5. Lust for life - it's not bad, but I think it doesn't have a cohesive atmosphere. I like the first part of the album until Coachella, then I skip to Heroin and Get Free and that's all.

After being a user here for almost two years, I realized that I haven't seen a thread for BTD! I'd love to have a place to discuss and praise the iconic album, and I hope you'll find a need for writing here too. ♥

Pretty much never. Her music came into my life during a very significant time and will always care for her for giving me an escape during that time. Actually, still till this day, those same songs keep me going.

Weirdly unpopular opinion but I looooove the way HIAB took a turn with these lyrics like I’m literally going to kick people in the teeth when she starts going off like this in the full song

see i've also had these experiences, but i've romanticised them in order to deal with them. i agree that not everyone feels that way and why the fuck should they?! if they don't why shouldn't they be offended by this schtick. it's understandable

Money Hunny, Get Drunk, WTWWAWWKD and perhaps Born to Die (sometimes just the song, but also the whole album) reminds of the time I used to watch ID a lot. I used to watch documentaries about serial killers, passion crimes, etc. I was also very into fanfiction about these stuff too. I remember of reading an one-shot based on Saw, other about two FBI agents hunting a serial killer, etc.

Honeymoon the album also remind of the time I kinda found a little bit of peace by myself, it was the same time I entered this forum back in 2016. Reminds a lot of that refreshing feeling you get from wind, you know. There were times a bird would enter my window (I'm serious), it was so beautiful and pure. I started to actually believe in God around that time, because of that bird. It made me feel very hopeful.
