I stanned for AF and FATM before Lana came into the picture. Honestly, none of their albums have ever let me down, but The Suburbs is their best. It's indescribably visceral and nostalgic, and I implore everyone to give it a listen.

Can't you just imagine it? In my head it's dark and somber; ironic compared to the original, to show the contrast of Sleeping Beauty to Maleficent  if not, I don't care 'cause this is a nice thing to get while we wait for Ultraviolence.

I am so excited! I can't believe we are getting TWO albums in one year. And what albums! Idk about you, but I f loved COCC. To me, from Norman and on, it seems like there has been a brand new Lana - a timeless music maker Goddess. Arcadia is awfully wonderful. Text Book is the perfect opener. Blue Banisters ages like fine wine and Wildflower Wildfire still makes me wanting to fall in love. I am so thrilled about this being her best yet... it will terminate me, I already know that. But at least it will be peaceful, like a bittersweet death lol

That or she's just maturing lyrically. I agree with you though. Especially with the possible push for an Oscar nom/win, I'm sure there was more "help" involved than normal.

I have a gut feeling it will take a sorta grunge, rock influenced route. But it totally makes sense to me that it will head into 70s esque territory, a la Summer Wine. She was recording 70s style music with Barrie. Either it was for his new album, her new album, or there's a project all it's own in the making. The news of her recording in LA and Italy (wasn't it?) fit the time frame to me if the album will be out this upcoming summer. I think it will still be cinematic, but I think she'll take a really different but still appealing and Lana-esque route.

I remember when the SoC lyrics leaked and I thought it was a joke  but it turned out to be one of, in my opinion, the strongest songs on the album. A song is more than its lyrics, and this is one song out of how many on an entire record? There are strong-er songs, and weak-er songs on her albums, but she quite obviously knows what to put on each record to make them strong in and of themselves. I'm not too worried. Just be excited we get an early glimpse

I think Bobby Womack's voice is beautiful. It's so aged and full of wisdom.
