I hope a new single is right around the corner but that picture she used is from the Hearts Aglow era. I expect her to post some sort of progress report from the studio and announce some shows for the spring where we might hear some new tunes before anything is announced. Whatever happens, it will be nice to have her active again because she has been in total social media hybernation for like seven months now.

I think what I love about this project is that instead of lazily going back and deleting a verse for every track and getting someone to hop on as a feature, Charli has gone back to each song and written a brand new track with either using the song title / lyric / beat as a prompt to writing about a new experience or perspective based on the prompt.
 
e.g. Sympathy is a Knife going from a song about Charli being unable to deal with her internal dialogue and how she can be so vicious with herself / doubts to revisiting those doubts from her perspective now with the success of brat.
 
While I feel like there are a few hits and misses with the album, it’s hard to deny it was a highly ambitious project and much more exciting than an album of reworks / features. 
 
I feel like most of the polarising reviews from fans is a mix of high expectations for what we were getting and I’m seeing a lot of OG angels loving the album vs newer fans (not bagging new fans but just an interesting trend I’ve noticed)

Now this is what I was waiting for!!! This is art… the lyrics, the 00s rock nostalgic feel, the cover, the angry vocals… everything is giving People Disappear Here / Easier Than Lying and I’m so here for it 
 
I was not a fan of Lucky but this one… wow! The emotion Lucky was missing is all here. Idk how she will fit these songs in the same album, they sound nothing alike

every single line in no comma is golden.
she was right to brag about being the only writer on every track for her next album because this is whats missing from the imitators songs.
 
and the production is insane. it captures exactly the chaos and sleaze that shes trying to depict with the song like its just... perfectly crafted. you can SEE the events of this song while its playing. Its giving Miami the same way Everything Is Romantic gives Italy in my mind.

So much quality music came out during mid-late 2010s its kinda crazyy, like we really didn't know how good we had it  Just 2017 alone I distinctly remember the lust for life, melodrama, pop 2, blue lips cycles. Like I getchu, sometimes I wanna just bask in that time too

I don’t think I can cope with this thread going dormant  it feels so weird and final having this album (almost) out. 
 
I hope that there are more official releases and unheard leaks that trickle out from now on, because it’s hard to think about music going forward without her, and without the speculation and anticipation around her live sets and collabs and everything.
 
She just had something nobody else really did. I discovered her alongside pc music back in 2014 and even most of that crew just doesn’t excite me the same way anymore. This is making me emotional all over again almost worse than when she actually passed

I don't think either of the Shygirl collabs were ever intended for the album but the other songs that I don't think made the tracklist are Fields of Animation, Candy in the Air and Structure
