  1. Awhile back, before the Rolling Stone interview also confirmed it, I looked up her voter registration in the state of New York in order to definitively prove that she had been lying about her age (or committing voter fraud). Since it was personal and wasn't relevant to that purpose, I blurred out her party affiliation in the screenshot in that post. But I can confirm that she was registered there as a Democrat. As for her political views on individual issues, I suspect in general she's socially liberal, possibly economically conservative, and not very politically correct.
  2. Ha, Lana would want to send out a hologram instead of herself, wouldn't she? She really does hate touring, doesn't she? #BlackBeauty You know she hated the Nowels leaks. Glad to see she's at least coming to acceptance of the inevitability of leaks though. Meh. I beg to differ. Get it girl!
  3. I'm curious what song this was and whether it's one we have or not. Is there a Justin Parker co-write that fits the bill? This seems to be a pattern with her, picking people to work with on the business side based on their association with people she idolizes. I've also heard she once worked with an attorney because Jeff Buckley had been his client. He tells me to shut up I got this You taste like the fourth of July Malt liquor on your breath my my You can be be the boss, daddy, you can be the boss Taste like a keg party back on the sauce Why do I think too much? You tell me not to worry because you're the boss And you, you got a real good plan My trouble's all over now because you're my man Wow, there's just a lot of interesting inside baseball about the dynamics between her and her label in these old outtakes. And a few details that relate to some stuff I've been researching that I'll have more to say about later. Not sure that's worked out so well for her in the first case, and I think she was just really fortunate in the second.
  4. Thanks for posting! I see there's even more quotes than this in the article. Can you add them to the OP?

  6. There's definitely some interesting quotes in this interview. Can't wait for the context.
  7. The Weeknd talking about how cool Rob is. Ha, this amuses me to no end. The Weeknd is a Little Robster. I'm just imagining them chillin' out, swapping Hawaiian shirts and hairstyles. A Lana-directed Weeknd music video? Yes please. I love Honeymoon, but I still want a straight-up jazz album.
  8. Initially it seemed questionable, but I'm pretty sure she did. See here. Only Lana can answer that, but I find it difficult to reconcile the timelines of her known relationships without some overlap.

Yeah, this line made me think of "the little death" too. I think this lyric is intentional double entendre for, um, manual stimulation. Or in the parlance of this forum, he slayed her pussy. "Soft ice cream" may be innuendo as well. Fun fact: Lizzy's 2008 Mercury Lounge performance was as an opener for Moby's side project The Little Death, and is the basis for her claim to have shared the stage with Moby. The drummer for The Little Death was also her drummer in Lizzy Grant and the Phenomena.
  10. I hate to be a PEDANT but neither the "CARELESS WHISPER" thing nor these are samples. In one case she quotes a lyric, in the others she copies a few lines of the melody, intentionally or not, but she doesn't sample any of these songs. Also, what's up with the random boldface, centering, and capitalization?
  11. How unprepared is this interviewer to not know about her soundtrack work? "Young & Beautiful", "Once Upon a Dream", "Big Eyes", "I Can Fly"... take your pick.

I could be wrong, but I think some of you native Italian speakers may be giving Lana too much credit with her pronunciation and knowledge of Italian. Ciao, amore, chicken cacciatore. These are like the next three most basic Italian words Americans know after pizza and spaghetti (which I'm almost surprised she didn't mention). Honestly, even though it sounds beautiful, these lyrics are really clumsy. A-a-a-a-a-propriazione...
  13. She did NOT just call it a vinyl player. @@Monicker @@SitarHero
  14. Planning to buy the plain ol' CD and make my own FLAC rips from it.
  15. Please tell me Lana is a John Waters fan:
  16. http://www.screenshots.com/lizzigrant.com/2006-08-25 "president without Jackie O / And I'm singing happy birthday like Marilyn Monroe" It's a pretty clear reference.

    Charli XCX

Joakim (who sometimes goes by Jocke) co-wrote or produced that "Diamonds" demo.
  18. Just off the top of my head, "Money Hunny" is older than "Money Honey". Lana's JFK obsession predates the writing of "Government Hooker", and "Marilyn Monroe"/"Puppy Love" which references JFK predates it's release.
  19. You know, it kinda doesn't work, even as a joke, when like half the stuff you mentioned is in reverse order chronologically.
  20. Is @@PARADIXO just a big rip-off of @evilentity?
  21. Assuming these credits are legit, this really underscores the point I've been making about the shortsightedness of leaking those tracks from Rick Nowels' site in 2013 and the manner in which they were leaked:
