The first one is a little slow. The pace picks up a bit after that. -

It looks like the original interview might not be online anymore, but an English translation can still be found here: http://lightsandmusic.net/LAM/?p=92 -
Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
evilentity replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
"Hawaiian glam metal and surf noir". In March 2011 she posted a YouTube link to the song on Facebook and wrote "I'm Doing A Sick Cover of This Song". I talked about it in Part 3 of my LanaDelReydio covers show podcast. #ShamelessSelfPromotion #CallMeJack Lana has talked about being hacked in several interviews, comments which seem to suggest she has been hacked multiple times in multiple ways (she mentioned a hard drive being accessed remotely in addition to her e-mail) perhaps by multiple people. If I recall correctly, I remember back in the day on SIN people making vague comments about feeling so bad/sorry for what happened to her and that her team needed to get their shit together or something like that and being told by someone that those comments were about rumors that she'd been hacked. Later, speculation naturally centered on Ahmed, a prominent Lana fan and fan site operator who was arrested on charges of hacking Sky Ferreira. But I've caught wind of enough rumors to make me suspect any incident of hacking was not isolated, unfortunately. As far as which e-mail address was hacked, I don't know (and wouldn't want to know), but there are at least two e-mail addresses she made the mistake of posting publicly and leaving up after becoming famous. So she's definitely been hacked, and undoubtedly a lot of stuff that has leaked probably came from hacking, but I personally suspect this fanbase has tended to assume more came from hacking than probably has. As @ rightly points out, a lot of tracks have come from sloppy publishing sites or producers inadvertently making them effectively public, or from producers intentionally posting them publicly. There's a number of songs that we know leaked this way, and probably some that we don't know. There are also a number of early songs that Lana herself made public that people probably just saved. Others may have posted more information, but here are links to some posts of mine discussing what's known about her being hacked and where some songs came from: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/5687-honeymoon-pre-release-and-discussion-thread/page-225&do=findComment&comment=257095 http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/5687-honeymoon-pre-release-and-discussion-thread/page-225&do=findComment&comment=257104 http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/3625-thread-for-minor-general-questions-that-dont-deserve-their-own-thread/page-63&do=findComment&comment=200402 http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/5071-the-211-songs/&do=findComment&comment=199514 -
1985 It finally changed on Wikipedia now since the recent Rolling Stone article that said she's actually 29 even though she's usually reported to be a year younger. Methinks someone's been reading this forum. Me neither. Not the only time she directly lied about it herself: The interviewer's use of the word "mostly" and that he asks two questions about it are really telling to me.

The discrimination! What's wrong with being evil? This actually made me laugh, so I'm gonna treat it like a foul on strike two. But watch yourself.

Allen Ginsberg wrote this poem about Burlington, Vermont under socialist mayor Bernie Sanders in 1986: Socialist snow on the streets Socialist talk in the Maverick bookstore Socialist kids sucking socialist lollipops Socialist poetry in socialist mouths —aren’t the birds frozen socialists? Aren’t the snowclouds blocking the airfield Social Democratic Appearances? Isn’t the socialist sky owned by the socialist sun? Earth itself socialist, forests, rivers, lakes furry mountains, socialist salt in oceans? Isn’t this poem socialist? It doesn’t belong to me anymore.

Have you considered Adderall?

The only thing declining is the quality of discussion on this forum. "Video Games" and AKA were what made me a fan. I loved her songwriting on BTD for the most part, but the production was a big disappointment to me. I would absolutely be here if HM had been Lana's debut album. HM is more the record I had hoped BTD would be.

"Expose"? I just happened to see a quote that seemed a little incongruous with what little I know about her. So I noted it. Nothing more, nothing less. really though don't you think it's a tad ridic for anybody to keep on trying to make everything about identity and your personal animosity towards me? And lol I'm not 40. I'm about as close to that as you are to having not hit puberty.

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I dunno. This was in the early days before I became anal about audio quality. I think I just downloaded someone else's rip off SIN or something. -

Duane Reade. You probably had difficulty finding it because it's not from an interview. It's from comments she posted about "Trash Magic" when someone first uploaded it to YouTube. -
Freak Music Video Premiering February 9th

While I think working with different producers is a good thing, I feel exactly the opposite way about Rick Nowels' production of Lana tracks. It's only gotten better over time. He produced the cheesiest, sappiest tracks on BTD, but he produced the entirety of HM, which is her best major label album IMO. There's not a song on it I don't like (well, ok, I'm not crazy about her DLMBM cover). Has anyone counted the days between her past pronouncements of "soon" and the date she delivered? By Lana standards, I don't think it's been that long yet. -
What can be attributed to Lana's physical change after 2012?

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
evilentity replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
I could be wrong of course, but I think his name is just a coincidence. I'm also pretty sure all the profilengine information is just mined from other sources. "Lizzy's got a Show" was a Facebook group set up to notify people about some of her early shows. -
As I've mentioned before, there are many, many reasons why some people hoard, some of them good, some of them not. Go read my post again. I did not defend that behavior, and definitely do not defend that behavior. In fact, I explicitly said people who get shit for doing that deserve it. My point, which you're evading, is that many of the people calling hoarders or traders self-righteous and entitled across the board are even more self-righteous and entitled in their doing so. You can hate both people teasing AND people thinking they're entitled to something they're not entitled to just because someone else has it. Being friends with someone doesn't mean defending everything they do. And I don't defend @@Eclipse when he does that. He would tell you I often mention stuff like that to him privately. And notice in that very same post I said @@Jack had a point about what he said about @@Eclipse. BTW, I like @@Jack too when I've interacted with him in tinychat. Doesn't mean I defend everything he does on the forum.
-
@ @@godknowsitried Honestly, @@Jack has a little bit of a point here. Speaking in the third person can sound kinda douche-y. And evilentity says that as someone who's friends with @@Eclipse not a particularly big fan of @@Jack's forum activities. But y'all escalated this into an unecessary personal attack. @@Jack It was unnecessary personal attack, but you implied someone else was a douche, so you shouldn't be surprised someone turned it back on you. But no, you just had to throw gasoline on the fire. Warning points all around. I guess this is the Melanie Martinez thread. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of childish behavior and crybabies here. Speaking of douches and enemas, it remind me of the Tool song "Ænema", which describes how shit like this often makes me feeling about moderating on LanaBoards. Some say the end is near Some say we'll see Armageddon soon I certainly hope we will I sure could use a vacation from this Bullshit three ring circus sideshow of freaks Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A. LanaBoards The only way to fix it is to flush it all away Any fucking time, any fucking day Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona Bay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neGdoqsuiN8 People who get shit for teasing and posting snippets and shit sort of have it coming, but honestly, if anyone is self-righteous or thinks they're entitled to something they're just simply not, it's the people saying things like this. It's just jealousy dressed up as something else.
